Backyard has a sparkling pool/spa, enchanting lookout deck while also backing to open space with an abundance of hiking trails. Close to Malibu, Westlake Village Inn, Four seasons Westlake and more.

Cute but shared
It was a nice place to stay, unique and interesting architecture and layout. I will say the listing made it seem as though the pool and jacuzzi are included and yours to use but they are shared and there is a fee to use/heat. The footsteps of the residents above can be easily heard. Overall was a nice stay and clean property with a welcoming bottle of wine.

Unique shapes!
Both the pool and the living space are unique in their layouts which makes for a fun stay! All four rooms intersect and the pool was cut out of a narrow notch in the hillside allowed for by the shape of the property. Very fun and unique. There was a bit of a musky smell in the living space but it is also all super well designed with beautiful finishings. Check-in was 4pm at which point the pool was already covered with shade, so make sure so swim before check-out the next day before 11am. We also had to clean all the leaves out of the pool, but it was worth it!

Cute and cozy place
We enjoyed our stay here, and it was super clean, well stocked with many thoughtful touches. There were snacks, drinks, and toiletries. We appreciated it all. We were there during a heat wave, so the nights were a little hot; there wasn't AC, but because it was on the bottom floor, it mainly stayed cool. We did ask for a heated hot tub, and it took a long time to warm up, so if you want things heated, arrange the heating days in advance instead of on the day of like we did. It didn't get beyond a lukewarm.
