Good Motel for the Price

It was a good hotel. Kind of featureless on the outside. European style decor inside and in the rooms. Had to scout for a cup for water in the room. Rooms were clean and quiet. Little kiosk could use some more variety and stock of snacks and beverage. I will say that while their breakfast offering appeared rather stark, the bagels (which were from a bakery in New York through their Sysco company) were quite possibly the best bagels I've come across in the South.

Spark is NOT the "Normal" Hilton, but don't be afraid. At first glance, you'll be confused. No microwave in the room, but a communual one in the lobby. No ice buckets, but they are next to the ice machines on opposite floors. A great room with a small fridge, plenty of comfort, and just what' you need. Breakfast is edible: It's a bagel and "schmeer" bar with juice, oatmeal, and some very good coffee. Oh, and yogurt. Now, it would be nice if they had kettles in the rooms so we could get hot water. Beyond that, what's missing is the stuff we normally walk buy in a budget hotel, and the higher Hilton Price. Yep, there's your hook. This is truly a high quality BUDGET hotel with the HILTON GUARENTEE. If you want the full service, breakfast and the stuff in your room, there are plenty of Hiltons you can choose from at the higher price. But if you like the BW, Choice, and simlar budget choices but don't find them consistent, Spark may be the brand you've been looking for. So, while I was perplexed by the hotel initially, the staff was patient and clearly understood the value of their brand. There aren't many out there yet. In fact, this is the first one in KY. This specific hotel was absolutely fantastic and I'd recommend it. Because it's a Hilton, it's also going to be like the others. No frills, "Give you what you need", at a budget price with consistency. Do you need anything more?

Place was clean, people were friendly. Breakfast was pretty much nothing. No coffee in room, no microwave. It's good, but not great. We paid a premium because of high demand and I don’t mind, but I don’t feel like I got any particular bargain.

First let me say the staff is incredible. The hotel is very clean. My only negative point is that this hotel went from Comfort Suites to Spark by Hilton. If this is Hilton’s idea of bettering a hotel they didn’t. The furnishings and rooms are sparsely decorated. The desk chair was more like outdoor furniture. Felt more like Motel 6 than a Hilton minus the price. Like I said awesome staff, but will probably not stay there again. I stayed 5 days.

Spark was a nice property. The breakfast was not very good. It was just bagels. Very disappointed with breakfast. The room and beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean except the trim around the shower bathtub was moldy. I would pay a little more to get better breakfast. We will not stay again for this purpose. Thank you.

Disappointed how could Star meet Hilton standard ? 1. No coffee maker in the room 2. No microwave oven in the room 3. No sofa chair in the room, only one metal lawn chair. 4. You have waited 5 minutes, yes Five minutes, to wait for water hot enough to take a shower! And took forever to drain the bathtub! 5. Very poor breakfast , only bagels .
