We did a last minute short trip to Ludington before starting school but didnāt want to camp since it was supposed to rain. We normally stay at another property off season but it was overpriced for what we wanted to spend this time so opted for a more inexpensive option this time. This was our first time at Vista Villa and we were fine with the accommodations. It is outdated and could use an update, tear out the carpet, and it was a little musty smelling, as other reviews stated but overall for the price it was a good stay.
Service was nice and had daily maid service if you wanted it. Motel is fairly quiet, unless you have a loud Harley parked outside your room!
One complaint we have is there could have been more pillows that were fluffier. If the air was kept on consistently, I think that would help with the musty smell. Also because this hotel is only open during summer season, being closed up for 5/6 months, they need to find someway to keep the mustiness down. There was visible mildew on the bed frame and stand with the refrigerator but it was dry.
I do wish the TVās were updated, channel surfing was hard because there was a delay for every station it landed on which was annoying but did appreciate having cable.
The window coverings are not blackout which would be a good upgrade to consider too.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend you try this family owned motel.
