Oak Tree Cottage, Charming & Rural Home, Heart of the New Forest

Nestled on the edge of the village of Pilley, in the New Forest National Park is Oak Tree Cottage. With forest tracks on the doorstep, it is ideally situated for relaxing and exploring the New Forest and villages along the South coast. The local ponies and donkeys are frequent visitors to our lane, as they roam freely in the immediate area. Our cottage is tastefully furnished throughout with adequate parking, large garden and barbecue provided for the summer months. There is no traffic noise. Oak Tree cottage is situated within easy reach of the Georgian market town of Lymington, with its lovely cobbled street, quay, array of individual shops and Saturday market, and in the other direction, the quaint village of Beaulieu with its famous National Motor Museum. The Isle of Wight can be reached easily by taking the ferry from Lymington and from nearby Brockenhurst there is a rail link connecting to Bournemouth, Southampton and London Waterloo.

Wonderful stay
What a wonderful accommodation in a fantastic location. Our host kept in contact to make sure our stay was comfortable. Such a peaceful area and yet so close to walks in the New Forest. The surrounding towns were worth visiting. All I can say is that 2 nights weren’t long enough so need to return as soon as possible.

Superb cottage
We stayed here for a weekend break, with 3 adults, a 4 year old and 19m old. Communication with jenny and Iain was fantastic from the booking to check out. Check in was really straightforward and we were welcomed with a few gifts and personal note. The accommodation was clean, spacious and homely. They provided us with a travel cot and mattress, high chair, kids tablewear/cutlery, toys and games. All the beds were comfy, the location is quiet and peaceful we all slept really well.

Girls trip away
I cannot thank Jenny and Ian enough for letting us stay in their wonderful property. It was absolutely beautiful, the surrounding area,the facilities were perfect,and went beyond all expectations. A sanctuary!
I had been in contact with Jenny before our stay due to concerns over Covid as having recently had treatment for cancer, I wanted to know about cleanliness etc. I needn’t have worried! Jenny explained what cleaning procedures had been carried out and a link to the company whose cleaning products they’d used. The property was beautifully kept. Off street parking in a quiet area, warm and welcoming - a proper home from home. Ideally situated for a walk on the nearby forest and common area with good access to local places. We did have one issue with a leaking sink plug in the bathroom but I contacted Jenny and the issue was sorted out within a couple of hours. These things happen but it’s about the way it was dealt with as opposed to the issue itself. I would heartily recommend this cottage to anyone for a break - a full five stars from us!

Great rural location
We had a great stay at the property that was in a lovely location with very close access to the New Forest, a short walk along the road. The property itself was a good size and well-proportioned rooms, and was very well-equipped with everything you could need. It was a nice touch from the owners to leave some treats for us to enjoy. The cleanliness of the property was second to none, very welcome given the current situation with Covid 19. We'd certainly like to return at some point. Thank you Jenny and Ian.

Daughters wedding weekend
The perfect location and a real home from home (but much tidier!). The moment we set foot in the cottage we felt relaxed and ready to make all the final preparations necessary. Jenny was really accommodating when we made our enquiry as we needed to be sure it was OK for the wedding car, photographer etc to arrive on the Saturday which was all fine. The cottage is quiet, spacious and very comfortable, it would make a perfect base for a longer stay from which to really discover all the New Forest has to offer. Thank you so much, despite one of the wettest weekends of the year we were able to have the ideal base to work from. Perfect!!

Very clean and comfortable accommodation.
We were made to feel very welcome even though the owners could not meet us in person. The cottage was perfectly clean with everything you would possibly need to use, to hand. The owners made it possible for us to contact them if we had a need to. The whole family enjoyed the short stay we had at this lovely cottage and would love to return at another time.

Perfect for a peaceful get-away
A lovely, spacious cottage with a very private garden. Immaculately clean and comfortable. It's in a perfect location - far from the madding crowds but with very easy access both to the Forest and the coast.

Wonderful weekend break
Cottage was fantastic. Very easy access, all amenities in the house, very clean and cosy. Location is very good. Nice welcome basket and pint of milk in the fridge which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and would love to return in the future.

Fantastic cottage, can't wait to return.
We absolutely loved staying at Oak Tree Cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated, had a lovely large enclosed garden and the location was perfect for walks around the New Forest.
