Hallway and room smelled like mold and were rather humid. Building is not in the condition the photos lead to believe .... clerk was a nightmare to deal with.. very rude and made us feel intimidated.

cheaper than Maastricht, a short train ride away
Hotel is on small square with shops nearby, away from the noise of the bars, nice to sit outside next to canal. Handy for what we needed, Our room was clean, with kettle & tea/coffee. Staff polite & friendly We used pool once, small for size of hotel, could do with a update, mixed changing rm. Charge for towels, swimwear spinner would be very handy to help remove excess water as only place to dry swimwear is over bath, Sauna was also extra fee. No view from the room to write home about, Room 111 is a lg rm. plenty of sockets either side of bed. Breakfast was the same for 4 days no change at all, would of been nice to have a different pastry on offer. choice of coffee/cold drinks from machine. We would stay again if we needed a bed for the night in Valkenburg... beds singles

Enjoy Valkenburg @Walram Hotel
Hotel Walram is a very tourist friendly hotel boasting of a swimming pool and a jacuzzi bathtub in most rooms. Great service and a free sumptuous healthy breakfast every morning.

Walram was well good
Staying here for a weekend's walking holiday, I can heartily recommend the Hotel Walram for a chilled out break. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable, the bedrooms well-appointed and in good repair - although to get to our 'Classic Room' did need a fair degree of concentration on the Receptionist's instructions. The Pool is very welcome, especially after a day's hiking in the lovely countryside around Valkenburg, and the breakfast would satisfy the most demanding of tastes (although I would have liked an egg option other than scrambled or boiled - but to be fair I didn't ask if this was available). At the moment, the front of the hotel is being re-modelled as a car park/piazza, so getting to the car park was tricky, but not difficult. Finally, the location is ideal for those wanting to be within easy reach of the town centre (3 mins) or train station (8 mins walk) for day trips to Maastricht etc. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Comfortable hotel in centre of old town
Stayed two nights for the midsummer prog music festival and the town was buzzing good restaurants and bars friendly people couldn't fault the hotel or historic town which is overlooked by the old ruins on the hilltop picturesque and easygoing 👍

Long weekend
A long weekend trip for the Eroica cycle event. Hotel in a brilliant location near the centre of town, (which has 52 restaurants)Parking in the square outside is free overnight until 11am. Hotel has a nearby locked parking area for a daily small charge. Room had noisy aircon, staff immediately moved us to another room. Excellent breakfast buffet. Swimming pool too!

Enjoyed the stay. Room is just big enough for the bed and some luggage. No toiletries, not even hand soap. Had good parking breakfast and location. Everyone was very nice. Beautiful town

Part of our ceiling fell in with a large gush of water at 3am, we didn't even get an apology or offer of compensation, in fact staff were generally disinterested. Hotel is in definite need of an upgrade, the rooms are very dated, our original room was supposed to be a comfort standard, it was far from that, the up-graded room was top standard (which we paid extra for) was still shabby but bigger. Recommend you don't stay there.

Staff fantastic, cleanliness fantastic, location of hotel fantastic. Bed uncomfortable, no support for backs and shower not functional. Shower head over centre of bath instead of being located at either end. Difficult to use. Room very small .

All you need for an overnight stay
Smallish hotel, but all you need - bar, restaurant and nice location, next to a canal. Quite central in Valkenburg and parking is easy on the Plein and no cost till 11am. Good for business too _ i arrive very late, no problem.

Hotelroom was clean but very basic - two single beds, two chairs, small desk, no space to move. LCD TV was very difficult to watch, high on the wall but not tilted towards the bed. Breakfast was good (included in price). Parking fee (Euro 6/day) higher than advertized.

We spent two nights at the Best Western, we found the hotel to be very pleasent great location only a few minutes walk to the town centre. The staff were all very helpful and the buffet breakfast had something for all tastes. The hotel also has a small swimming pool which we used every day which was a bonus, rooms were clean and ours had a whirlpool bath which was great. I would recommend this hotel.
