The view was amazing!!! It was an amazing opportunity for us to stay on Mackinaw Island, but the landscaping made you feel less than welcome: weeds, no neat edging, no beautiful flowers. Everything was ok, like they had done just enough to get by. You are two miles away from main street, so be prepared to walk a lot. The pictures featured on line were not accurate for rooms we stayed in. Getting luggage to/from ferry was unreliable & inconvenient. You had to keep checking back to see if it was delivered to the tent where you could pick it up yourself & bring it to your room. Leaving island, there was no guarantee your luggage would be at dock or even make it across. No ice machine so keeping drinks cold during humid weather on island was impossible. Yes there was a LITTLE breeze off water but when it rained, room became hot & uncomfortable without any A/C & no ability to leave screens open to outside air. We did manage to fit 4 people into room, but fold out bed was broken/uncomfortable and had a twin-sized mattress pad on queen mattress! With sofa folded-out there was absolutely no room to walk. Whole experience just made you feel "lower class"; like if you paid this amount to stay on the island, then don't expect to be treated/catered to like other guests who were at more expensive lodgings. I thought with condominiums in the name they would be very nice but smaller than a huge suite. Not true.
