Great location. Roof top bar and pool was lovely. But 5 euros for a small bottle of water is a joke! 85 cents for a large one in supermarket across the road!

They are trying and it is better than some others. That being said, it is lacking some basic necessities. Wifi is terrible and either was very weak or not functioning half the time. Breakfast was very subpar. The lobby is sad and there is only one Starbucks machine which you must pay for. The upstairs bar/pool is small and blazing hot--almost unusable during the day. The cleaning staff was brusque at best and camped outside our door having loud conversations and clanging their equipment starting at 8:30 in the morning. If you want to use the in-room safe, you must pay. That's a first. The front desk was attentive and did their best.

I love it was close to the city center, lots of restaurants, and accesible, lobby, rooftop and amenities were good. However rooms NEED work, carpets were DIRTY, Tables were supper Dirty and even some parts of the bathroom, if you book the standard room it is tiny. We ask for a change of room and staff was very friendly about it. Location is a 10/10 so get the panoramic room or a superior room. In case you book the cheap option ask to be in the renovated rooms. Español: La localización del hotel es un 10/10 cerca de muchos de los lugares más icónicos de Madrid. El staff y personal fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron con nuestras inquietudes. Sin embargo los cuartos, baños, mesas, alfombras, etc no tenían el mejor aspecto, estaban sucios y mesas llenas de moho, especialmente en la opción más económica y si te toca la parte más antigua del hotel. Estas facilidades estaban sucias, y en descuido, las alfombras de terror. Solicitamos inmediatamente un upgrade y el personal trabajó muy amablemente con nosotros para el cambio, y los cuartos panorámicos y de la torre principal estaban mucho mejores, aunque en general las alfombras necesitan una limpieza profunda urgente. Volvería al Santo Domingo ya que la localización fue perfecta para el viaje, aunque hay detalles que pueden mejorar.

This hotel had two different buildings. To access our room we had to use the 2nd set of elevators. You could tell this building was in the process of remodeling so not sure what the more expensive rooms looked like. Room was ok but out dated. Could hear people in the hallway. Over all the staff was Amazin! Rooftop bartenders and restaurant staff were superb. Check in desk employees and bell hop were also amazing. Would stay again but would like a room in building #1.

The rooms are super super small and mine wasn’t to clean and was old, moldy and the carpet was super dirty. I ask for a change and had to pay $80us per night because only the premium rooms were available. This new room was clean and nice The staff was super nice and did their best to fulfill our request.

Disappointing Stay Due to Facility Closures
Yes, the revised review is now clear, well-structured, and effectively communicates the key issues you experienced during your stay. Here is the improved version once more: --- During our stay, the pool and terrace were closed for private events. I recommend calling ahead to confirm the availability of these facilities before booking, as their closure was a major disappointment. The hotel's layout is inconvenient, with intermittent closures at access points. The lobby is on the ground floor, but if you stay in one of the towers away from the main building, you need to take two elevators to reach your room. There is no direct access to leave the hotel from these elevators. The pool is indoors and surrounded by dining chairs and tables. If you want to sunbathe, you have to go upstairs to the terrace. Additionally, you must pay 3 euros for a bath towel, and there is no deck service. The location was excellent, however for the price, I suggest looking for more modern and luxurious options that prioritize guest experience over private events..
