Disliked: Cleanliness
I went to Sale for business for a few days. Looking at the picture when I booked, it looked nice. However, my room was in a building at the back. It was unclean and dated. The shower was poor with debris on the bottom of it. The couple next door were loud til 2am each evening. At least their sex didn’t last longer than 2 minutes. I was told a few days before arriving that there was no restaurant. On arrival I was told there is no bar! Not great. Why then were there people in the main hotel in the morning eating breakfast? I am suspecting this is a migrant hotel. On the plus side, it was self contained and you can park for free.

Lots of potential but due an upgrade. Many faults in terms of missing the up to date touches, complemented by 1970s feel. For the price I might consider it again, but don’t get your hopes up.

Old and tired.
I was located in the annex to the rear. The carpets require cleaning, the bathroom needs a deep clean. The decor requires complete renovation. The room is not large enough to accommodate two single beds, however two were in the room, each bed sharing some of the double head board🤔

Be Careful
This is not what we expected. The reception area was plush and nice, but then we were issued our room key and walked around the back to the accommodation. This was badly maintained, with paint flaking on the walls, smelt of dampness, large rug under the bed covering stains on the carpet. Neighbours also complaining about curry-stained plates left in the room. We did not stay, we checked out and went to a Travelodge. This place is disgusting. I feel the photos and description on Hotel.com to be misleading.
This is the accommodation block

Fur coat and no knickers!.. won't be going back.
On the listing the hotel frontage looked lovely, as did the bedroom pics. And that's where it ended. Reception looked interesting with some pretty stained glass and fittings - and that's as much as we saw of the inside of the hotel. We were led outside and round the back to what can only be described as a 1960/70s annexe with corridors (and an upstairs I think) and faceless doors to either side. The room itself was quite small with a blown window you could hardly see out of because of the condensation. No loss though as it looked out over the unkempt and neglected garden at the back. Very tired fixtures and fittings with dangerous and broken wall lights - it seemed that the heating did not work either as there was an oil filled radiator in front of it. But the bedding and bathroom were clean and we were only there for one night so we managed - and I do have to commend the cleaners for doing their best with such old and shoddy furnishings. It was a bit perturbing to see a resident taking a huge bag of rubbish out - looks like it is a long stay option for some people - which would also explain the microwave and small fridge in the room. It advertised a food menu for a restaurant and cafe bar but there were no signs of either anywhere. It also gave prices for breakfast but there was no information anywhere as to whether this was available. All in all the place was a disappointment - as I said - fur coat and no knickers.

It’s ok for business stay.
It’s very functional. Dated and not particularly clean. I think it’s either a dss or migrant hotel now as there is no bar or restaurant and the people in the next room wouldnt shut up til 2am each night.

First room in what felt like supported accommodation was hotter than a sauna. Second room cooler but the walls were wafer thin, the tv was stuck on one channel and the mattress was super thin.

Clean, comfortable and quiet ...
I stayed for one night in Manchester whilst visiting friends. Value for money hotel, in which i only slept at the location. Free on sight parking. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely horrifying.
Quite possibly the worst experience I've had in hotels and I stay in them at least once per week. Accommodation is in the very run down annexe. It's cold, the carpets are disgusting, the garden area has debris strewn around. In short, it's just been left to decay. The rooms smelled bad, there was evidence of black mould in the bathrooms. We stayed for 5 minutes and quickly checked out and into another hotel, which was actually cheaper. An absoutely awful experience. This hotel needs to be dropped fro the Hotels.com site.

A very friendly welcome, and an unsolicited upgrade to a double room (having booked a single). Good value for money. The only weak point was intrusive light from outside coming into the bedroom.

Disliked: Amenities
The room was clean but the facilities were not as the website. There was no restaurant for an evening meal and no bar. Couldn’t get the liquid soap out the toilet seat was broken. There was no glass for water. the area outside was tatty and the garden a mess. Was told there was a restaurant about 5 minutes walk but it was a long way and my husband has trouble walking. I know it was cheap but not as described. He cannot drive at night. Will not recommend.
