A lovely cottage in a stunning location
Pretty house, well equipped and attractively fitted out, the perfect setting for our wonderful holiday. M. and Mme Mazieres are a delight, very welcoming hosts. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden, watching/listening to the many birds and insects, with the beautiful mountains in close view. The pretty village is a quite steep stroll down and back up to the house, about a kilometre each way, we oldies (mid-seventies) enjoyed the walk!

What a lovely place this is. Pictures don’t do justice. We loved staying here and route 11 goes just behind the house, we did it finishing at mandailles for lunch (restaurant d’or),it’s really an ideal location for hikes combined with a relaxed getaway overlooking the valley. Bring some essentials and even wine from the city and just sit on that terrace and see the world go by - bliss! Theres a little (very little) shop in st julien 5-10min away by car with essentials and also in mandallilles which is a bit bigger (dont expect much!). You can def buy cheese everywhere even from the farmers down the road. The gps will take you straight to the house, and don’t worry about the last stretch, it’s steep! weather was pefect At the end of september but i bet it gets quite icy, my only concern would be the snow/ice on those steep roads. The house is well equiped and you only need to bring towels and food, it was great for us as we were just two and a dog. Garden is perfectly enclosed and they provide a little bed and bowls if you have a dog. You can go to the auberge col de legal to have lunch its a bit of an adventure and the gorges de la jordanne are not far from there. However when we come back we will just do trails. The area and house are great and if you want to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, this is your place! Thanks for restoring this beautiful Gite and allowing us to meet a new area in France - we will be back! Silvia & Alex

Un super séjour dans ce petit gîte au cœur de la nature. Un gîte authentique et restauré avec beaucoup de goût. La situation du gîte est top pour les grandes randonnées sans avoir besoin de prendre de voiture: Puy Mary, Puy Griou, Puy Chavaroche, L'Elancéze, Courpou Sauvage.... Maison de charme, accueillante, propre, tranquille et idéale pour les chiens. Très bon accueil et la proprietaire nous indique les sites à visiter. Un énorme plus, la proprietaire est à l'écoute (même en pleine nuit) et cherche une solution dès que nous rencontrons un problème. Location recommandée.

Un séjour mémorable 😍
Mon mari et moi-même avons passé un séjour magnifique dans la Vallée de la Jordanne. Tout était parfait : une ravissante maison très très bien équipée et documentée, avec un magnifique jardin, située au milieu des montagnes ! Parfait pour les amoureux de la nature ! Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié Madame Maziére qui a été une hôte charmante, accueillante et à l’écoute.

Les monts du Cantal l'huver
Conquises par le cantal découvert cet ete, nous voulions tester l'hiver. Grand beau temps les premiers jours permettant randonnées et pinic midi dans la nature. Gite maison ancienne avec tout confort et vue sur le puy Griou splendide avec fabuleux coucher de soleil. Gite tres bien equipe, avec necessaire literie, produits llavagee, ,assaisonnement salade etc. A revoir en été

Gite de caractère dans une région magnifique
Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans le gite de Jacqueline. Le gite est tout confort avec le charme de l'ancien (bien sur la salle de bain est petite mais c'est le jeu !). Il est décoré avec goût. Nous avons adoré manger sur la petite terrasse en profitant de la belle vue. Le jardin est très agréable et entièrement clôturé. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil fait à notre chienne (gamelles, dodo et même une petite friandise !!), c'est rare et cela mérite d'être souligné ! Nous avons eu un excellent contact avec Jacqueline qui se met en 4 pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Nous recommandons ce gite !

Une semaine dans un petit paradis !
Nous venons tout juste de rentrer de notre séjour dans le Cantal, la tête et le cœur encore là-bas. Que dire de ce séjour dans ce petit paradis ? Tout était parfait ! Des échanges avec Jacqueline qui met beaucoup de cœur à accueillir, conseiller et rendre le séjour de chaque voyageur le plus doux et paisible possible ; du gîte très bien équipé, comme à la maison, où l'on ne peut que se sentir chez soi ; de la vue incroyable au coucher de soleil sur les hauteurs du Cantal, une tasse de chocolat chaud à la main depuis le balcon, le feu ronronnant dans la maison ; des kilos de Cantal et Salers achetés directement à la ferme dont on se régalera encore quelques semaines ; de l'envie de revenir déjà à la belle saison, pour redécouvrir ces paysages sous leur manteau d'été. Bref, tout était parfait. Milles mercis Jacqueline et Guy pour cette parenthèse magique ! Petite maison rustique du style de la région du Cantal, très bien Restaurée et chaleureuse. Au calme, en montagne d'où partent plusieurs chemins de randonnées. Très bon contact avec les propriétaires, qui connaissent très bien leur région.

Jacqueline est une hôte vraiment très gentille et très sympathique. Elle nous a fait des cadeaux de bienvenue et les enfants étaient super contents. La maison est vraiment très bien, a beaucoup de charme et est authentique (1770) avec une super vue sur la vallée de la Jordanne, Le rêve !! ll y a de nombreux documents dans la maison avec les différentes possibilités d'excursions et activités à faire durant le séjour. Nos 2 chats ont très bien appréciés aussi. On a également bien sympathisé avec les voisins du hameau et notamment avec une petit plus Raymond avec ses chats qui nous attendait tous les jours pour notre petite visite. On a pu également faire de belles randonnées et visiter la ville de Salers et les environs. Merci Jacqueline, vous êtes vraiment exceptionnelle. Que du ++++ Marine
