Two weeks in Mane in the summer
We stayed with our family in Mas des Pins near Mane. It was hot and we spent our time going to markets, eating at the outside table and swimming in the pooi. The house was lovely and is plainly their home not a rental house. (lots of family photos etc) It was great because it meant we didnt have to stock the kitchen from scratch and their was plenty of places to relax. Only two criticisms: slow wifi and difficult cooker. both probably easily sorted. The slow wifi was a blessing and a curse. Just bring a few DVD's if you want to watch a film in the evening as it was too slow to stream. The cooker was touch and go but didnt stop us. Mrs Gandie might have fixed as we did mention it. All in all a lovely place in a lovely area.

Charmante maison mitoyenne
C'est une jolie maison typiquement provençale,meublé avec gout avec des meubles rustiques ,tomettes au sol,confort simple ,bien située pour visiter la région. Accueil froid ,la propriétaire était en colère car nous avions utilisé la réservation immédiate que le site proposait sans son accord ....comment le savoir!!! De plus nous étions 9 personnes alors qu'elle n'en tolérait que 8 (depuis corrigé sur l'annonce).On nous demande alors de verser une somme pour la personne supplémentaire....Je refuse !on nous demande aussi une caution qui n'est pas prévu dans le contrat avec une remarque plutôt désagréable :"comme ça vous ferait plus attention !". La maison est mal isolée et difficile à chauffer en cette saison (19°dans la cuisine).on a eu froid.Il faut noter que la maison est le logement principal des propriétaires ,difficile de se sentir en vacances au milieu de leurs souvenirs,photos et que vous attendez 30mn dehors à votre arrivée avant qu'ils aient vidé leurs affaires personnelles.La propriétaire ne manque pas de vous relatez les malheurs de la famille (décès,cancer,maladie) histoire de vous mettre à l'aise dans les lieux. Génial!! Cerise sur le gâteau,nous découvrons à notre arrivée que nous ne sommes pas seul et que le petit logement mitoyen est loué. Aucune intimité ,seule une porte de service sépare les deux logements.La propriétaire nous dit que les locataires travaillent et qu'ils ne sont jamais la.Faux! ce sont des gens en vacances eux aussi découvrant la supercherie.. En résumé je dirais que c'est une vaste maison modeste,bien équipée mais qui ne se prête pas du tout à la location.Nous n'y reviendrons pas.
