Property entrance was impressive with its 1920’s style but the room was tired and in need of a refurbishment - air con very noisy with a rattle & wasn’t working well, bathroom door lock falling out & no hot water for a whole day. Staff very serious about life so didn’t make you feel that welcoming.

The restaurants were fantastic. The room was old, worn, and in need of updating. It lacked a sitting chair, and the desk was no bigger than an oversized nightstand, of which there was only one. VERY EXPENSIVE!

The room was ok but the bathroom was very small and hot. There was no fan in the bathroom so when the door was closed it heated up quite a bit. Also the heating/air conditioner was not consistent. The stars was great the location is great. I loved the the restaurant in the hotel called Friedmans but I was not impressed with the service or food at other restaurant called Bond 45

The online check-in was not working and neither were the kiosks in the hotel, so the wait for check-in after riding on a train for 8 hours was an hour and a half with only 2 people at the front desk. After the wait, and despite the room being "guaranteed", it was explained the room that we paid for was no longer available so we received a smaller room with no credit or adjustment provided on the bill. We were given vouchers for a discount breakfast but weren't able to use them either day because the first day there was a 40 minute wait and the last day we attempted to reserve on-line but there was no table available within a 3 hour time-slot. Furniture in the room was old and more holes in the wall then I've ever seen. The TV was small and accessing the ability to cast to it was awful. Called to request a move to another room because of the size and noise level, but never received a return call that was promised. Called to have the manager sent up to the room and they never came. Went downstairs to speak to the manager and waited 10 minutes. She then explained they were overbooked and there were no other available rooms but she would make a note to follow up with me once people checked out the next day and we could get moved to the room we had originally paid for and get credited for the resort fees. Neither happened. Extremely poor service and it's a shame because the concept design for the hotel is beautiful.
