We were very pleased in our stay at the Mandarin Oriental. Since we arrived, Luis made us feel at home. Every night our bed was made perfectly ready for us to jump and have a wonderful sleep (bonus points for the comfortable pillows). In general our stay was wonderful, cannot wait to stay here again!

Exceptional service, amazing view of the city, helpful staff, very clean, very convenient location. Good food at the lounge. Property well maintained although signs of aging are visible (eg some of the carpets in lower foyer) and there was an odd smell in the hallway. The room was not up to the standards for the hotel of this category and price. This room would be great at Marriott. It was small, irregular shape, poorly decorated, didn’t have a coffeemaker or even teabags. You can’t compare it with Ritz or even good Hyatt.

Pros: Spacious and clean room. Fantastic views of the Hudson River and NYC skyline. Convenient location close to Central Park, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, shopping and great restaurants. Lovely staff. Cons: none

Best hotel in NYC
Nicest hotel in NYC. Was upgraded to a suite larger than my house with breaktaking Central Park views. The management was so attentive. Made us feel important but we are so not so. Can't wait to go back
