This hotel is an absolute mess. There is NO ac in the lobby and barley in the rooms. The staff is not helpful and not friendly, My room was dirty and had an OLD window unit. The cleaning staff just walks into the rooms in the morning. Wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, and someone has gone into my room while i was in a meeting and took apple products from me. I have it tracked on find my iphone and i was yelled at by the staff that i was wrong and that it was at the theatre next door.. the theatre next door was a vacant theatre.. When i noticed they were missing and saw they were at the hotel i called 48 times and no one would answer the phone

This has been one of my worst stays ever! Really disappointing. Dirty rooms, defective thermostats, air conditioning was leaking and every morning we would wake up in a pool of water, VERY UNSANITARY!!! Broken and moldy bathrooms. Dust everywhere and terrible smell. Staff simply was either not willing to help or didn’t have the resources to do so. We could not get additional sheets or blankets or towels, there was no baby crib available despite being told they had them and we will get one to our room. When traveling with 3 kids it’s important for me pictures of the hotel conditions and amenities reflect real conditions during my stay. This was not the case at the Gallivant. Expedia images of this location were far off from reality. Really felt like I was being robbed considering how expensive the stay was for 3 room.

This os our second time in this hotel. The location is great. Walkable to some of tourist spot. Most of the staff are nice but there is 1 particular staff in the counter whoI spoke over the phone is rude. Unfortunately, I did not able to get her name. And when I went down and asked if she is the one I spoke to, she denied it. The family room that we get is spacious. But the coffee maker has cockroach. Had to follow up twice before they change it.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Here's my terrible experience: 1. There's a night club right next to it so if you live lower levels you will sleep with club music.... 2. No AC lobby. Staff At the front desk doesn't care anything. Never pick up the phone either. 3. Cleaning lady knocking my door violently and open my door without permission at 8 am!!!! And the next day, they did the same, entered my room at 8am while I am still asleep. And they did not clean the room. 4. If you want a new towel, you need to get downstairs to front desk to get it yourself. 5. Luggage storage is $3 per bag! Even a little bag count as one. And it's CASH ONLY! I've never seen a hotel charge people luggage storage fee on their customer. Eye opening experience. 6. Rude. Every staff work there got an attitude. Conclusion: can't believe I Spent $300/night for this.

The elevator is very slow. The lobby was always filled with luggage, the room had a lot of wear and tear. Some lights did not work at all. Bathroom incredibly small. The air conditioner is a window unit and unbelievably loud.

I recently stayed at The Gallivant Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for based on the photos online. Upon arrival, I was excited to check into our room, but it quickly became clear that the reality did not match the expectations set by the images. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. We discovered hats and personal belongings left behind in between the beds and under the bed, which raised serious concerns about the room's sanitation. The sheets appeared unwashed, adding to our discomfort. It was evident that housekeeping had not prioritized cleanliness, and this was truly disappointing. The overall condition of the hotel was also troubling. While the lobby looked polished and inviting, it seemed to be the only area that received any attention. Our room was in disrepair, with visible damage that detracted from our stay. To make matters worse, our room was next to a broken elevator that was in constant use throughout the night. The noise from the elevator was incredibly disruptive, waking us up multiple times as it went up and down. Additionally, the elevator itself did not appear safe, with one of them even out of service upon our arrival. Customer service left much to be desired as well. The staff were not particularly helpful or attentive, which further added to our frustration during our stay. Overall, I do not recommend The Gallivant Hotel.

It was not even close to what the website said. The floors were dirty, the property is so old the doors squeak, it is right around the corner from an active fire station and getting an elevator can be a trial of patience most of the time. I will never stay there again.

Location was perfect, 15 years ago when everything was I am sure it was gorgeous but has not been kept up and is looking a little run down. Biggest and only complaint was they knowingly put us in a room with no A/C the 1st night and then we were able to change rooms the next day.
