Beautiful lake views
The house and property were perfect for our family vacation over the 4th. There was plenty of space and bedrooms for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils for both our cookout and the dinner we cooked one night. The views of the lake from the upstairs bedrooms and the porch were absolutely beautiful! We would definitely stay again when we come to the UP!

Aurora Borealis view from the beach
We stayed mid-spring for 13 days. Most of the time it was just my husband and myself, but our adult children joined us for a weekend. The house was very clean on arrival, and check-in was a breeze. The house was cozy and there was a beautiful view from all the windows. We saw deer in the yard almost every day. It was on the cool side, so we didn’t sit out on the deck. The deck has a nice grill, tables, and chairs. The walk to the beach was short, and the lake is visible from the house. The huge beach was so beautiful and perfect for long walks. Day to day living in the house was easy with a well stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, and a comfy living room. We were able to get cell service on our phones there, watch local and world news on tv, and stay entertained watching our favorite shows by the fireplace on bad weather days. The location is perfect for feeling “away from it all”, but it is close enough to a small town for groceries, restaurants, and other necessities. It’s a pleasant drive to many of the UP attractions. We definitely would recommend this vacation spot. We were able to watch the Northern Lights from the beach-just spectacular and the icing on the cake after a wonderful stay.

Great beach but needs a deep clean
The location, size, and layout of the house was great for our family trip. We loved how easy it was to enjoy the beach. The views from the upper floors are amazing. The house needs to be deep cleaned. We discussed it with the management and they said it wasn’t up to their standards so I hope they will correct in the future but we had to deal with it all week. The towels smelled very mildewy which I assume is because the washing machine was smelly. It needs some attention. The couch smelled so we hardly wanted to sit in it there was food stuck to some cushions which we cleaned off. Several screens were broken/missing so couldn’t open those windows without bugs coming in (a bummer when that is the way to cool the room).

Fantastic Beach House
We were in heaven in this house. The beach is wonderful. The sand is amazing, softer than other places on Lake Michigan that we've stayed. The water is shallow and usually very calm in the mornings. Great for swimming (especially for kids, I imagine). Our dog loved it. The house itself was very clean. The cross breezes were wonderful. Lots of large and well-placed windows, and ceiling fans everywhere. We were breathing fresh lake air 24/7. The upstairs bedrooms were a good size, with plenty of floor space plus walk-in closets. The bed we slept in was big (king-size I think) and very comfortable. The furniture was beautiful and generously-sized. We brought a lot of clothes and still had space to spare. The washer and dryer were very nice as well. The living room was not very large, which was perfect for just the two of us, but larger groups might find it a bit cramped. There was a perfect lounge spot on the living room couch right next to the window with the beach in view that was ideal for reading. The kitchen wasn't large enough for group cooking, but it had everything we needed to cook our meals. Dishes came out of the dishwasher sparkling clean. Coffee maker was good and clean. The tap water is well water, which upset my husband's stomach (I never tried it). Highly recommend to bring and stock up on bottled water. We did have one issue when we arrived, the house was still being cleaned. But communication with the reservation company was great and they made it right. We did our grocery shopping, and when we returned the house was ready and very clean. The grocery store, Jack's, is less than 15 minutes away and had everything we wanted, which was a lot because we love to cook. Their fresh baked pasties were excellent and always plenty in stock. Manistique only has a few restaurants and shops, which was fine for us, and we liked all the ones we tried. The central location puts the entire UP within day trip range, but we mostly just stayed on the beach. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing beach vacation, this house is it!

Beautiful Property with Many Amenities
We loved the location and access to the beach and kayaks. The spacing of the rooms was great. The house was nicely stocked with lots of dishes and silverware, cooking pans etc. That said, the house is in need of some basic maintenance attention as is noted in the journal left for guests to leave their comments and thanks. We thank you for providing a wonderful place for out family to gather and enjoy the peace and quiet. Paying premium means expecting premium. 1. The middle rack in the refrigerator door is broken leading to multiple items falling and spilling / breaking on the floor. 2. The Oven was NOT cleaned prior to our arrival. 3. The faucet in the main floor bathroom needs a screen to prevent water splashing all over. 4. The upper bedroom - right from the stairs - the screen door and French doors do not close all the way letting in bugs and rain. Tin foil was used to secure the closure. A neighbor showed up on Friday indicating that we were due to leave that day. He said he was there to clean but it was a very weird encounter. All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this place to others and possible return ourselves. Please take the above notes about maintenance seriously so future guests will have nothing to complain about. :-) July 2022

Overall Good
There was a glitch with the cleaning (wasn’t fully clean when we arrived), but we made it work and they refunded our cleaning fee and were very nice to deal with. Check in/out was very easy. Good place to “unplug” (don’t go to a beachhouse or the U.P. if you want internet). Beautiful beach and area. House could use nicer bed linens and a deep clean. Awesome, clean beach walking and searching for shells and other treasures.

vacation in the UP on Lake Michigan
Our family had a beautiful week on Lake Michigan in Manistique. By far the best beach we have had through our years of renting. A spacious, clean house with all the amenities. The best was a washer and dryer that could be used by the vacationers. Everything from check in to check out went smoothly. A very nice grocery story in Manistique that you can purchase everything you might need in the way of food for your stay. They have a wonderful deli at Jacks as well! The property was very nice. Our dogs and granddaughter enjoyed swimming and beach walking daily!

The house was very nice and everything was as represented in the listing. It was conveniently located for visiting many of the beautiful sites in the central and eastern Upper Peninsula. We enjoyed dinner at Tap 21 and breakfast at the Cedar Street Cafe which are both located nearby in Manistique. The rental agents were very friendly and responsive for any needs before, during and after our rental. I highly recommend this house to enjoy what the beautiful upper peninsula has to offer.

We stayed at the Lake Oasis with our friends and their furry baby and had a great experience. The house is conveniently located to shopping and major points of interest in the UP. We home's furnishings, large deck, and beach access. This was our first trip to the UP, and we will be back!! The only suggestions we have are: repair screens on deck doors; provide guide book to assist with operating TV and fireplace; evaluate smoke detectors. During the first night , the smoke alarm in the master bedroom went off repeatedly. We had to remove the battery to deactivate. We highly recommend this property for those who are looking for a relaxing get away but with all the conveniences of home!!!

Nice house beautiful Lake Michigan
It is always a challenge to find a nice clean rental that accepts dogs. Poor renters ruin it for the rest of us. We vacationed here with our Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel. We have good dogs and are very conscious people. I’m a neat freak without being too obsessive. This is one of the cleanest and nicest dog friendly houses we have rented. We walked into clean, freshly washed floors the first day. There is no smell to the house, even in the finished basement. It is extremely well equipped with high end pots and pans, plenty of mugs and plates (for at least 12) and really just about anything you would need except food. There is even salt, pepper, and few spices in the cabinet. We stopped at Jacks Market (15 min away) a few times and were good to go. The pros of the house are as follows; Clean house Clean linens Beautiful location and picturesque walk on beach (Walked 4 plus miles every day and could have gone longer) Kitchen has everything you need Washer and dryer are high end and great Management company very responsive. Texted Joan and she responded within minutes. Beds are not too hard and perfect softness. Perfect Compromise for both me and my husband. We liked the beds a lot. Bed linens are nice quality Walking dogs on the main road to do their business is perfect. Road is quiet. Tons of butterflies to see and photograph Showers are clean and decent shower heads Comfortable house to relax in and have a peaceful vacation. It is a very quiet area. We saw 1 family on the beach after a mile walk and a few families on their decks, all very friendly. Cons: A couple of the window screens need to be reattached and many don’t fit securely so bugs get inside. We sprayed the screens with bug spray which helped. All windows inside and out need a good cleaning/vacuuming.,,many dead bugs. The glass is clean but the insides are buggy. It is buggy in July. The black flies were the worst. Luckily we brought a citronella lemongrass spray with us which was a savior. The front entrance needs a good cleaning, debugging and staining of steps. For such a nice house the entrance is not welcoming, at all. It just looks buggy and worn. An area rug is needed at the front door to catch sand/dirt. Lastly and most importantly: The water from all faucets in the house has a sulfur smell. This needs to be fixed. The smell does linger as well so not pleasant. We would not return unless this was fixed along with the screens.
