A barbeque is provided for relaxed summer outdoor dinners and entertaining.

The home has fantastic water views from the kitchen, family and dining room as well as the lounge room.

A games room is setup with pool table and dartboard to keep the kids entertained and to encourage some great family fun after a day on the water or when the weather calls for indoor activities. Board games, books and DVDs are also provided.

Access to a shared jetty in front of the house and a private buoy that you can moor your boat to. There is also a public ramp 700 meters down the road with access to picnic and BBQ reserve with an enclosed swimming area.

The home is situated on the southern shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie which is Australia's largest inland saltwater lake. Situated at the northern end of the NSW Central Coast and is a comfortable 70-minute drive from Sydney. The home is on a quiet street offering two off street car parks along with ample street parking. Ā

Lake Macquarie is perfect for all water activities including sailing, water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, swimming and fishing and the lake is large enough that it never becomes overcrowded with boats. It is the perfect location to relax with the family or to escape on a romantic getaway.

Beautiful Beaches and National parks are only a short drive away. Local tourist brochures and maps are provided for you to browse.

Situated on the tranquil waterā€™s edge this home has four upstairs bedrooms which sleeps 8 adults and up to 9 including children. Two of the bedrooms are masters, one enjoying a walk-in robe, TV and ensuite while the other has a small parent retreat with lounge and TV and enjoys beautiful water views. The third bedroom has a triple bunk (single bed above a double bed), the fourth bedroom has a Queen bed, most bedrooms have a view of the water. The main bathroom is central to bedrooms and includes a shower and bath.

Doonas are provided, linen and bath towels are available on request for an additional cost.

Full sized laundry downstairs with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities and with separate toilet. Modern kitchen with granite bench, ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, stainless steel fridge and Nespresso coffee machine.

'Chilling Lakeside' is only 5 minutes stroll to the local shops which includes a pizzeria, takeaway store, bottle shop, cafe, bakery, coffee shop, post office and service station operating also as a general store.
Five minutes drive to Doyalson north you will find a Woolworths, BWS, Jamaica blue cafe, takeaways including, Asian, Indian, kebab, subway. Lake Haven shopping centre is only 10 minutes drive and has all your shopping needs including an 8-cinema complex and indoor recreation centre.

Doylos RSL club is 5 minutes drive where you can enjoy a great meal at the bistro or the American style barbeque grill and bar where there is an undercover outdoor restaurant. A courtesy bus is available.

In addition to the waterfront location, beautiful sunsets and tranquillity are the many features of the home to ensure a relaxing stay.

Lakeside chilling out
Our stay as two families with teens at ā€œChilling Lakesideā€ was truly relaxing (mid Dec 2024). The booking process was easy, and communication with the gracious hosts was excellent. The house was well-equipped including entertainment for the adults / teens, good books and amazing views with stunning sunsets enjoyed by the jetty and around the firepit. Pelicans coasting along the water and friendly little ducklings were a joy. The nearby Coastal and Co takeaways had the best burgers and our trip to Caves beach (35min) was lovely. It was a memorable and relaxing stay.

Wonderful relaxing holiday
This house is even better than it looks on the photos, it is an ideal place to go if you want to relax with a book or board game by the lake, go for walks around the suburb, fish, kayak or visit the beach. I went with a group of friends and all 8 of us absolutely loved it. It is the perfect place for anyone looking for a peaceful get-away.

Perfect Getaway with Fantastic Hosts!
We had an amazing stay! The location was perfectā€”close to everything we needed, yet peaceful and quiet for a restful getaway. Annual Family Get Together
Lovely quiet neighbourhood with beautiful lake views out the back door. There is plenty of included things for guests of all ages like canoes, bikes, games for the kids etc. The host has thought of everything you may need for your stay. Highly recommend this property for your next holiday. Host is very accomodating and helpful.

This property is even more gorgeous than the photos and seemed closer to the lake than i thought it would be. Its is spotlessly clean and extremely well organized. The booking and check in process was easy with great communication with Lucio and Julie. We were were all happy with our bedrooms which were spacious and clean. The house delivered fully with entertainment, we enjoyed playing board games and playing pool, cooking marshmallows by the outside fire, paddling on the lake in kayaks and canoes and hours of fishing with late afternoon being the best time to catch fish. A Woolworths is only 5 minutes away and we enjoyed visiting Norah Head lighthouse which is about a 15-20 minute drive. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back soon.

Beautiful property right on the lake. Very relaxing and peaceful! The interior is very clean, new and modern. The backyard area is wonderful to hang out in. A family of ducks even came to say hi.

Perfect location to chill and relax with stunning sunsets over the lake.
From start to finish, there were no issues. Our hosts communicated everything we needed to know. We enjoyed the kayaks and pool table as well as the fire pit. The ducks were a bit of a nuisance, leaving a mess to clean up on the concrete. We thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion in such a comfortable house, the perfect place to relax.

Perfect family getaway
The process from A to Z was smooth, perfectly equipped property catering for the whole family: Canoes Bikes Snooker WiFi Etc..... A small point to be made, I would've preferred to know in advance that the house is a duplex, hence we felt we had to be ultra quiet because we didn't want the neighbours to complain from the kids noise in the games room at night etc.... Regardless, a perfect pet free (no pets allowed) property because my kids have allergies. I WOULD BOOK AGAIN

Comfortable and nice view
I went there with my parents and three kids. Each room has its own air conditioning which is perfect for us. The kitchen has everything we need. We spend most of our time playing pool game dues to the wet weather, couldnā€™t enjoy the jetty and the backyard. Everything is perfect except the sound insulation isnā€™t very good, as upstairs bedroom can hear clearly the noice from downstair. (Except the lake view bedroom) the TV in the lake view bedroom isnā€™t working and the Wifi signal isnā€™t very stable. But I will still give it a 5 stars rating as the location and every other things are very good!

The property was very well appointed and ticked all of the boxes. There was so much to do, the children were busy all of the time. They really enjoyed a visit from a brush tailed possum who loved our avocados. We would love to have another visit and thank you very much for a wonderful holiday

Great location
We had a wonderful stay at the house and area. Plenty of fishing at backyard and lovely fire place. Close to bottle shop and petrol station also so easy to buy the firewoods. Overall house was well maintained and good working order. We didnā€™t find any faults and no one whinged about anything.

Relaxing weekend in beautiful lakeside setting.
7 of us good friends came for a kayaking weekend. The location was perfect and despite the rain we got out on the lake for a short time all of the 3 days. The firepit in the evening was nice to relax around and warm tired muscles.

Great place for a relaxing time
We had a relaxing and amazing time with the family and grand kids on our wedding anniversary. The house is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, giving everyone the privacy they needed, as well as accommodating for family time and activities. The view of the lake is relaxing, quiet, beautiful and we enjoyed the BBQ, fire pit, kayaking and games room. Thank you, Lucio & Julie, for a wonderful stay.

We stayed for 4 nights with our kids and their grandparents (9ppl). Great location with attractions a short drive away. The house was equipped with indoor & outdoor activities for all to enjoy. Picturesque sunset and tranquil setting. Would aim to stay for 7+ nights next time.

A GREAT ESCAPE!
I was thinking of a place where we adults can sit back and relax and the kids can play and enjoy themselves. As soon as I came across this beautiful property which comes with a view and all sorts of amenities for kids (and adults), I knew I needed to book it. I wasn't wrong! From the moment I booked, the host was very responsive. He accommodated all our requests. The house was presented as described in the ad. Everything was very clean and tidy. All the amenities were there as mentioned in the ad. Kids were busy with board games, scooters, and bicycles, while we had a relaxing time at the back patio overlooking the beautiful lake. We tried the canoe and it was fun. The pool table and the dirt board were good time pass at night as well. Overall it was a much-needed break we were looking and we enjoyed it thoroughly! Thank you again to the lovely hosts :)

Perfect stay with young kids
We spent 3 nights during the Easter break! It is a perfect place with young children, clean bedroom, beautiful lake view! The only thing is no shampoo there better to let us know as we assume there will be. But overall it is a amazing place to stay with reasonable price, highly recommend to family!
