This is a lovely old hotel. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean. Good pressure in the shower. Staff were very helpful with information about restaurants. The only downside was the breakfast that was included. Not many healthy options. Lots of carbs. Maybe add yogurt to your offerings. Did like the fresh fruit and the ice water. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved it!!!
My husband and I took an overnight trip to see a Song of the Mountains show at the Lincoln Theater that adjoins the hotel. Our room was so cozy and the queen bed was very comfortable. The hotel overall was so clean and very cute. The included continental breakfast was very mediocre but it was sufficient to get us started on our day. We will look forward to returning again soon!

Beautiful hotel!
This was a beautiful hotel! One of the best examples of a hotel that updates itself enough to be comfortable, but still has a historic feeling. Really good quality fittings and lighting fixtures in the bathrooms. The rooms didn’t have that slightly run-down feeling that many older historic hotels have. A small negative is that it did not have a ramp at the stairs for rolling luggage. I believe that there WAS a wheelchair lift close to the front door but don’t know if it went down to sidewalk level. I hope to stay at the General Francis Marion again!

This was such a nice place to stay in the center of the state parks. The staff was helpful and the new restaurant was delicious, especially the smash burger. Beds were comfortable.

We stayed for one night and the building was beautiful and had a lot of history. Our room was a little small but that was not a big issue. Bed was very comfortable . My only issue was when parking in the back we had several sets of steps to get in the building. We definitely would stay again.
