Abaco Regatta's Nightmare Rental
1st off we were switched to another condo without being told. I contacted them a day ahead & had no response. Upon arrival we couldn't get in. Finally a text came saying welcome..were in #24 now. They claimed they told me.
Door was hard to open & close.
Sliding door is very difficult to open. There isn't a handle outside either making it even more impossible when you're outside. Inside handle was broken too.
Also the screws for shutters are left in the wall causing my guest visiting to cut their ankle.
Mysterious water was leaking from a dishwasher we never used. Apparently they had previous water damage from it as it's very visible around the bottom cabinets.
No windows open without calling maintenance to unscrew blinds & remove them. Then it barely opened..it's installed upside down & pins are concreted into wall..so no leverage to open it more.
There were blood stains on a blanket in the clean pile in the closet.
Blood stained sheets on the pull out couch.
Beach isn't nice...full of seaweed & leaves.
No one is around after 4 to help you if needed..no one is available in general as it's a condo /timeshare thing apparently.
Weather was great yet the power was off more than on in 4 days due to "island generator" issues.
Although it seemed nice & comfortable...it was truly an unsafe & nasty place to stay.
Luckily owners gave back 1 nights stay.
It should of been half. It was very disappointing.
