A centrally located accomodation
Accomodation is situated a few minutes walk from the Sassi. The apartment is very comfortable and quite spacious. We did a self check-in which was very detailed and easy to follow.

This property is in a fantastic location and is very affordable. This is not a hotel. There is no front desk staff. We were able to leave our bags with a maid prior to check in. So that was convenient. We were allowed to enter the premises (alone) around 3pm. Check-in on the website said 3:30…. The girl we spoke to said it was 4:00. Anyway, we had had a long day and needed a nap. Fell asleep around 3:30pm… at 4:00 someone knocked loudly on our door waking us up, rudely demanding papers and the $2 tourist tax. I was so upset at being disturbed that I couldn’t fall back asleep and I felt ill the rest of the day. In addition to the staff’s rudeness there was No toilet paper and no one around to give us any No cup in the bathroom No tissues No sheets on the hide a bed Power went out and again no staff around Lost wifi No do not disturb sign Shower leaking Loud buzzing every minute or so from AC which kept me awake most of the night despite having ear plugs Fridge didn’t work No luggage storage at the end of our stay. Checkout was at 10:00 but we had a tour that began at 10:30… The check in is late and the check out is early. When I sent a message to the establishment , I received an insulting email response in return. Overall it was a terrible experience. Thank goodness we only stayed one night.

Great location with very nice hosts. More importantly the room was very clean and spacious with lots of light. Only minor hiccup with check-in but overall would recommend.

We were charged 8 euro but the owner did not have chnge. She promised to get back to us with 2 euro but never did. The entry gate at the front entrance does not work from inside. We had to walk upstairs and through the back gate. The bed cover was very dirty. When we called with issues the owner was very irritated and never showed up again

The improvement points I have are : 1. The person checking me in would have been very helpful if they had taken at least the small bag I was carrying up the stairs and not leave me struggling with a big bag and small one 2. Consider putting a solid front on the fridge . The light is annoying.

It was a little strange to stay inside a shopping center. It’s right on the edge of the historic center/sassi. We were given loads of good food tips which we really appreciated. However, for the price of the room and the location, if I were to stay in Matera again, I would prefer to splurge on a room with a view. This room with a bit stuffy and dated.

Perfect location for Matera and the Sassi
Whilst this is not a hotel as you would expect, it is comfortable clean and the location is perfect. You are minutes from the main square in Matera and the Sassi but paying a fraction of the cost of staying in one of the boutique hotels. Window blinds keep out the flashing lights and air con ensures a good nights sleep. Location is key and this place has the perfect location to explore Matera and the Sassi

Personnel de l'hôtel très odieux et pas professionnel ! Nous nous sommes fait clairement engueuler et hurler dessus au téléphone par un membre du personnel qui parle "français" mais qui n est absoluement pas français, parce que nous demandons les codes d accès pour rentrer à l hôtel. Depuis 16h il etait convenu qu'ils nous les envoient, ils etaient là jusqu'à 19h...à 19h toujours aucun code, quand je leur demandais par message ils me repondaient ..."bon voyage", ou alors ... nous vous les enverrons le jour de votre arrivée" (oui mais c est là maintenant mon arrivée), et au final une personne très odieuse nous a appelé en nous hurlant dessus, sans même nous laisser parler. Nous n avions pas le droit de parler, dès que nous essayons de parler, elle nous couper la parole en hurlant !!! J ai appelé hotel.com pour signaler le problème avec cette personne de l'hôtel. Nous avons fini par avoir les codes et avons pu rentrer dans la chambre... tout d abord l hôtel est dans un quartier à éviter, très en insécurité. Apres avoir fait les pouilles... on tombe de haut avec ce quartier ! Pour accéder à l hôtel... de nombreux escaliers non précisé... sans ascenseur ... avec les bagages nous avons galeré...dans la chambre odeur tres forte et désagréable, présence d énormément de poussière. Mon ami etait en crise d allergie toute la nuit. Couvre lit avec des tâches et ne semblait pas propre. La salle de bain pas dans la chambre mais en face de la salle de chambre... bref ... Hôtel à éviter !
