The hotel was lovely, an older building but modern decor, very large comfy bed. Really lovely attentive staff. Breakfast was great, nice and fresh and good quality. 3 minute drive into matlock bath (20 min walk). TV decided to turn on by jtself around midnight which gave us a scare 😱. Skirting boards and bedside lamps were dusty (only noticed this as we had them on rather than the 'big light') but this is the only thing i have to say on the down side. Would definatley stay again.

The hotel was excellent and been sympathetically renovated to be in keeping with the victorian era. the only thing wrong was the heating system was very noisy and kept us awake

A wonderful find.
Room was big enough to have everything you need for a short stay arranged thoughtfully. The dinner and breakfast were beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly whilst being very efficient.

This was a gem of a property for us. It was squeaky clean. ( i am a tiddly bit Ocd) Ample of parking space. Excellent breakfast choices. Specially us bring vegetarians. The owner, Sharon, was amazingly friendly and helpful, and very warm. Made us feel very welcome and at home. Would recommend it to any one any time. Yhank you team Sharon !

The staff are overwhelming in their attention to detail, kindness, and customer focus. They have been trained to put the guest first - exceptional ! A wide range of menu items is available in the main restaurant and the bar to suit every palate. Everything is cooked to order, and well presented - the chefs do a terrific job, and they made the meals a highlight of our 5 night stay
