About this property

PEAK DISTRICT COUNTRY FARMHOUSE

Beautiful country farmhouse situated down a 250m private drive on the outskirts of the village of Tansley. On the hillside below Riber Castle the property is surrounded by horse pastures and farmland. There are stunning views from every window.

The house has been completely renovated with the input of an interior architect to an extremely high standard. Many of the original Victorian features have been retained and stylishly combined with a super modern kitchen and bathrooms.
The space
You have sole use of well equipped kitchen. Spacious sitting room, three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Much emphasis has been placed on sustainability, you will find examples of clever and quirky upcycling as you explore the rooms. Eco friendly, the house is heated by a ground source heat pump and is kept deliciously cosy with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor in addition to a log burner in the sitting room and radiators upstairs. Bedroom 2 has a Super King size bed that can be split into two singles on request at the time of booking.

Dog friendly you have a private garden.

Access to the garden as well as their own space, plenty of parking available on the property.
Other things to note
The property is rural, within 5 minutes walk of the village. A short drive takes you to Matlock town with its picturesque park, lovely walks, shops, cafes etc. Matlock Bath with its many attractions, including The Heights of Abraham and Gullivers Kingdom is also close by. What’s more, the Peak District National Park with all its attractions s just a 15 min drive away, as well as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

There is a big Sainsburys and M&S, small coop and Morrisons as well as Iceland, Greggs and amazing Birds bakery in Matlock plus very good Coates butchers at Darley Dale and Maycocks butcher’s at Holloway.
