You get what you pay for
This property left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, it's affordable, the views are spectacular, the beach is amazing, the pool is beautiful and the serenity is to die for. The TV works, the internet is strong and the bed wasn't bad. The shower has decent pressure and there are enough supplies that you can skip a trip to buy more (lotion, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, dish soap, etc.)
Now, to the other hand:
I think the pictures are deceiving and you might not get what you think you are getting. This isn't a resort condo- from what I can tell: it's an old hotel room that was converted into a condo by adding a kitchenette area. There is a two burner hotpad, but the first burner doesn't work unless the second one is on. No oven or dishwasher. The sleeping situation is a queen bunk bed and the couch in the pictures is not in the room. For whatever reason (could be a me problem), I interpreted the pictures as having a bed. Then from my conversation with owner, that there was also a bunkbed. It's just a bunkbed. The picture shows the bottom bunk with the ladder towards the wall so it looks like a regular queen size bed. The top bunk has the ladder facing out now, but you might chop your head off with the ceiling fan if you don't exit carefully.
There's no rug to wipe feet when coming in either front or slider, so sand is pretty much guaranteed. I found a broom but only a hand-held dustpan. I would recommend to owners that they give access to these things for future guests. I fully intend to clean up after myself, but it isn't easy unless I buy a proper broom or vacuum. I don't believe there is any washer dryer access anywhere, either, and there are not enough towels here. Even with bringing 3 of my own, we didn't have enough. Things don't dry here very quickly, and we had to use the same towels for showers and beach. The shower curtain is also very moldy, probably because it's cloth and never quite dries.
The other thing to be aware of is that this place is not critter proof. We have geckos on the walls. I only saw one ant, but we also kept ALL food in fridge - all food: chips, cereal, etc. plus regularly refrigerated food. I also kept a bag in the freezer for any food waste. I would not trust putting any type of food in the garbage. It would just invite more unwelcome crawling friends.
Overall, I don't hate it. I would just be prepared to go into this option with a full understanding of what you are getting. Mahalo!
