We cannot predict the weather. When it is sunny and warm things can be peachy. The tree house can also be fun when it rains just prepare ahead of time.
In good dry weather you will have much easier time to navigate right up to the tree house! However, in snow, or rain we recommend four wheel drive with good tires. If you are afraid you will get stuck during your stay we ask you do not pull down further than the green farm house at entry of property. From there you can use a wagon next to farmhouse to take your things down.
When the weather dips down into the teens the bathhouse may have frozen pipes. You will still be able to use it with a little improvisation. It is heated. If you want to take a shower you can follow the directions for a portable shower.
There is a full bath house with a shower, toilet and sink as you come into the property marked BATHHOUSE. It is located up the hill by the farm house, about a football field away from the tree house. For quick trips to the bathroom, the outhouse is 30 feet outside of the tree house. They are clean, organized and efficient!

Please take note*** If you love Wildlife and do not mind critters. The tree house is in the middle of the woods you may encounter mice, wasp, bees, ticks, deer, turkey, flies, ants, water bugs, hear coyotes, and owls especially out on the trails. THIS IS THEIR HOME! We ask that you be a person that respects wildlife. If interaction with bugs, insects, animals and nature is disheartening to you we do not recommend this tree house experience for you. Please do not book this tree house and then call us when you see a wasp, bee, find a tick or other things you find in nature. We have used natural deterrents that really work to keep critters out of the tree house.

The Tree houses are our dream come true. We both wanted treehouses at a young age. For me, I believed it would bring me peace. I would play in the woods with my siblings imagining this treehouse it with small branches, using rocks as our furniture and moss as our carpet. I never let go of having this space and thought about it often.
When Bill and I started our dream company EarthJOY Tree adventures in 2007. Whereas we take clients to the top of trees on ropes. As part of this venture we wanted to give them another experience. Why not be able to stay in a treehouse too??
We set off to take Pete Nelsons LEARN HOW TO BUILD A TREEHOUSE in 2009 workshop.
After the workshop we looked high and low for the perfect property to have this dream come true. We ran into many obstacles one being not able to afford it or not the right trees.
When we saw Pete on Animal planet I thought I would just apply for the fun of it. We didn't even have a place. When they called and accepted our application I called Dad. I asked him if we could build a treehouse on his 200 acre farm. He laughed and then said YES! He said he was tired
