Tristi and Alex would love to welcome you to Dan River Getaway, their thoughtfully-updated Blue Ridge retreat -a favorite in this area. Nestled on 21 acres with 26 cabins, with one of the best views on the property. Pet-friendly, too. Open, beautiful, comfy and cozy. Massive skies, incredible clouds, beautiful sunsets, amazing stars, expansive views. Open year round!

This cabin is a mountain home away from home, and is very well-appointed, very well-equipped, comfortable and welcoming. Comfortable beds, plush mattress-toppers, top-quality bedding and pillows, atmospheric lighting - all ensure a comfortable stay.

Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, a short walk to fishing the Dan River, and close to Floyd Va. and Mount Airy, NC. Located 3 miles from the famous Mabry Mill and 5 miles from Chateau Morrisette and Villa Appalachia wineries, 6 miles from Buffalo Mountain Zip Lines. Along the Crooked Road Music Trail, close to Fairy Stone State Park, The Primland Resort & golf course, and The Olde Mill Golf Resort.

So much to explore! But, you might just want to rock on the deck and watch the clouds roll by, and enjoy relaxing evenings on the deck on warm evenings and enjoy the sunset. On those chilly nights, come on in and snuggle up by the gas-log fireplace.

We supply paper towels and toilet paper, towels and linens, extra blankets and towels, food storage (baggies, foil, etc.). You'll also find laundry soap, dish soap, as well as basic cleaning essentials. Spices and cooking oil are also provided. The kitchen is well equipped to put those spices to use, too! Excellent quality cookware, cutlery, cooking and baking tools. All you need to bring is food, clothes and toiletries!

We have Smart TVs, Blu-Ray and CD player, home theater sound system, cable tv, and high speed internet.

Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, smooth top range, dishwasher, ice maker, drip and Keurig coffee makers with gold filters, washer/dryer, and much more.

Master bedroom is on 1st floor and has queen size bed.

There are two queen beds in the loft bedroom.

Portable crib is available for children.

Dining table with leaf, set for 4, seats 6 with leaf.

Living room has comfortable sofa, leather recliner, a rocker, gas-log fire.

Pre-Autumn Getaway
This cabin was breathtaking to include inside decor and views from the deck. Check-in was super easy and the host provided excellent detailed directions and instructions for the stay. Nearby stores, Blueridge Parkway, trail walks, wildlife and Mabry Mill were fun adventures. My dog accompanied me and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay. I loved the cabin and area so much that I'll be returning for an Autumn stay!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
We've been going to Floyd/Meadows of Dan for over 20 years now. We found THIS cabin and have stayed here for the last 10 years. This is the perfect cabin - everything you need is already there (except food of course). We love the cabin, back porch swing, view and the hospitality from the owners. It's our perfect getaway in the mountains and we are so thankful the owners share it with us each year.

Wonderful R n R Get Away!
We truly savored our long weekend at the cabin. The kitchen was fully equipped, organized, and wonderful to cook in. Not only did they have oils, spices, baggies, sponges, soaps (and more) but all the cooking tools in the kitchen were above average over any place we've stayed at in the past. We did not have to "make due" with anything. We loved spending time on the deck from our breakfasts, enjoying cocktails and cheese in the early evening, to watching a storm roll in. We explored the area and enjoyed coming back to the cabin. I suppose they have a TV there, (haha) we just never used it. Tristi and Alex were a dream to rent from. They were great with communication, gave ideas for places to check out, and just really thought of everything. You won't be disappointed!

5 Star Cabin.
We were extremely impressed with this cabin. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. We've stayed in other cabins, but this one was the cleanest. Local Adventure
We came down from Roanoke for the weekend and enjoyed this cozy and clean cabin in the highlands of Patrick County. The host was very good at communicating with us and made everything easy. Some of our trip highlights included driving up to Mabry Mill, going for a short hike, and just relaxing on the back porch. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to make it down again someday!

Wonderful cabin near Blue Ridge Parkway
We enjoyed finding a cabin that was pet friendly near the Blue Ridge Parkway for a quick weekend getaway. The cabin was clean, quiet location, and had a lot of amenities, and the communication with the owners were superb . Nancy’s Candy Company was nearby and has an assortment of whole-made chocolates and fudges. As a helpful suggest the owners could add a tv to the master bedroom like the upstairs bedroom.

Cozy Getaway
This is a beautiful real log cabin with impressive interior architecture and very tastefully decorated and lighted. Christmas decor was very festive, including lovely holiday table stetting. This cabin was very thoughtfully stocked with all necessities, even including binoculars to enjoy the beautiful mountain view from the balcony porch swing. This cabin and its impressive decor made this the perfect spot for our first New Years celebration!

Very nice cabin in a great location. Some of the best communication I’ve experienced with renting. The owners did a very good job communicating about the cabin, the location for arrival and what to expect when we arrived. Very clean with a very comfortable ambiance. Amazing Stay
If you catch yourselves looking for a cabin in the Meadows of Dan area, look no further than Blue Ridge Passage Resort! Our cabin, Dan River Getaway, waa absolutely amazing. All we needed was our clothes, food, and ourselves! The cabin was fully stocked and clean. It was such a beautiful experience for my husband and I on his birthday weekend! From sitting on the porch in the mornings with a hot cup of coffee to snuggling by tbe fire watching television, it was a weekend we will never forget. The owners were very nice and explained the process very well. If you catch yourself in town, dont forget to check out The Poor Farmers Market, Nancys Candy Shop and even Poppys! And as for us, we will definitely be returning!! Thanks for such an u forgettable memory 💙

Apple dumpling festival, banjo in Floyd, Shenandoah Valley NP trip, pancakes at Ruritan, supporting local w trout, apple butter, sourwood honey … there could be more. We loved our weekend in Meadows of Dan. The cabin is incredible w many detailed features I can’t even begin to list. It was wonderful waking up to porch view of rolling hills w cows. Cooking eggs in that wonderful kitchen! Then hitting all the nearby towns - Stuart, Floyd and of course Meadows of Dan. The coffee shop in MOD has local organic flash frozen chicken AND trout!! The coffee shop!! I must eat trout on mountain visits. Who would guess you could buy it at the coffee shop!! We almost never cook in vaca but this cabin had a very well stocked clean kitchen. Local Rainbow Trout was cooked one evening! It was fantastic!! This cabin has to be the most perfect ever! It was frustrating to locate the cabin. I think more landmarks would help. Find Longfin Grill food truck. Go right behind the dilapidated bldgs. See the entrance to the cabin development. Follow numbered signs to the cabin.

A wonderful getaway!
We had a great vacation. The cabin was well-appointed and equipped and the owners had an excellent list of recommended activities. They were a pleasure to work with and responsive-they’ve thought of everything! The back porch was a fantastic place to unwind, enjoy the view and listen to the cows and bird watching. We saw a bald eagle, red-tailed hawk and 2 ravens plus about 15 species of small birds.
