Least favorite hotel experience after 6 months of traveling thru Colombia. The lobby & pool area are so beautiful, but that’s really all the hotel has going for it. A staff member was sitting in our room on his phone when we arrived which was odd. No hot water in shower. No hot water in jacuzzi tub, had to call maintenance. So many bugs in our room and bed! Construction loudly going on all day starting at 730am. No spa on site. Twenty minutes down a really rough dirt road to get to it and poorly marked so we got lost. Upcharges for everything. Jose at the pool service was the only super friendly and accommodating staff member he was amazing, everyone else lacked the hospitality Colombians usually have. Check in and out took too long and required repetitive info we’d already given. No traditional Colombian food or drinks. Meals and drinks very expensive. Nobody even acknowledged us at breakfast our last day- no coffee service, no hello, no eggs or protein on the buffet. Much better places for 1/3 the cost.

The hotel is very nice and beautiful , the road to get there is horrible , poor access , we had a delayed flight arrived at 10 pm (7 hrs later) and they refused to let us late check out They need to talk to the government to fix the state roads , beautiful hotel and poor access due to very horrible roads , staff and management can be nicer and allow some flexibility due to late arrival that was not our fault, I’m still expecting a refund for my daughters reservation as her boyfriend was hospitalized
