The Space:
A Dam Good View by Tiny Away is located in North East Melbourne, nearby Hot Air Balloon Yarra Valley, Kinglake National Park, and Yarra Glen Market. A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.
If you plan to spend your tiny house Victoria escapes here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be a second tiny house called "An Unforgettable View" that sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas. Where guests are welcome to tour the farm area and visit animals after the land host has formally discussed the safety guidelines guests should follow.
Please note that the property is close to Fin Winery, where you can hear the occasional noise of laughter, glasses clinking, or bottling throughout the year. They usually operate for 2-3 months in a year (mid-Feb to mid-Apr). Please be advised that there might be some smell and may also hear some winery machine noise.

- Yarra Glen Market is a local farmer's market that sells local produce every first Sunday of every month.

Getting Around:
By Car: 1 hour drive from Melbourne
By Public Transport: There is an easy access to the train station 20 mins away in Lilydale and buses running along the Melba Hwy, which is a kilometer away from our property.

- Pets are not allowed on the property
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Outdoor firepit is available for guests to use
- Firewood comes at an extra cost of $20 per load
- Please be advised that we have free-roaming farm animals on our property
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.
- Payments for firewood and breakfast are used to provide food for our rescue animals, including donkeys, horses, sheep, chickens, and ducks. As a fully self-funded rescue farm, we genuinely appreciate any contributions. Thank you!
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
- During the vintage season (mid-Feb to mid-April) at the nearby cellar door, expect increased noise and activity from early morning to 10 pm near the tiny house due to wine-making operations. Thank you for your understanding.
