The Dorsett was a fantastic hotel to stay. It's been renovated beautifully and the staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and so lovely to our 7 year old. Central location to Spencer Outlet, Coles, Bourke at Mall and much more. Will be staying again.

The Hotel and facilities were clean, and modern, and the staff were professional and polite. I did not like that there were no snacks in the minibar (not even a bottle of water). So, if i wanted anything to eat, even a light snack I had to order from the Bistro or go out to eat. If I wanted a drink of water I would have to get it from the tap in the bathroom next to the toilet.It would be great to have the convenience of clean drinking water, a basic human necessity, available in the room. Despite this, the room was very quiet, and the bed was comfortable enough. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a good selection of food.

The communication from staff was poor, and we had several issues relating to our room amenities, including miscommunication on a third portable bed. Despite many attempts to contact staff, I was unable to get a response, and upon checking in, there was an attempt to charge us extra for an additional bed. Our room didn’t have enough towels for the amount of travellers, and even when I asked reception to send towels they didn’t. Eventually we ended up with our balcony door stuck open which resulted in us needing to get moved to another room late in the evening. Despite an ‘upgrade’ we ended up in a room with no openable windows, a bath where the plug didn’t seal, lights that we couldn’t turn off and still not enough towels. All in all it looked luxurious however was quite a frustrating and uncomfortable stay.

The hotel is quite new and everything is nicely presented. The rooms were nice, standard size typical of a hotel room. The facilities were nice as were the staff. Parking was convienient under the hotel but you were unable to freely access your vehicle in the carpark, needing to be escorted, have the porter bring it to the hotel entry and the daily rate was expensive. Recommend parking at a secure park nearby for a much cheaper rate and the ability to access it without having to bother busy staff when needed.

Overall great property. Really nice rooms and facilities. Staff weren’t overly helpful with parking if you didn’t want to pay for expensive valet. The staff during breakfast weren’t confident made a lot of errors, possibly understaffed.
