My kids and I stayed in a two bedroom/two bathroom suite for a local wedding and it was the perfect size! The hotel is conveniently located near shopping (you could walk, but it was so hot outside that we drove). Everything was clean and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean, the overall hotel was clean. The pool was cloudy with a lot of bugs in it, you could tell it had been a while since it had been maintained. The breakfast was the biggest let down, definitely not up to the typical Hilton/Homewood brand. The space was dirty and the food was absolutely atrocious. Greasy undercooked potato pancakes, dry and overcooked carnita pork (for breakfast?), cold and dried out tortillas, the oatmeal was dry and could barely scoop it from the warmer. The juice containers were extremely dirty. I hate to be so negative about it.. but for the price people pay for this, the standards of the GM or manager need to be much higher.

We make frequent trips to UF and this will be our go-to spot from now on. The suite was spotless, staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was crystal clear and location is excellent, with lots of dining and shopping minutes away.

Disturbing after settling in the room.
Checked in on Thursday 05/16 by 2 pm & was taking a nap. I didn’t put a do not disturb sign on my door but still… I think it’s so disrespectful to disturb guests after they check in. I may be wrong. Someone started persistently knocking at the door out of the blue by around 3pm waking me up. Then the room phone started ringing. Tried to answer it. But I could not answer it as there’s no dial tone. Nor could I call back!! Then they called my cellphone stating the maintenance guy had to come in to fix a toilet tissue holder. I said not now! I was resting after a hectic day. I hope these are not the regular ways in a Hilton hotel.

We stay at this property every time we come to Gainesville or the sister property right behind it!! My wife is a government employee and while the family goes for fun she does some work in Gainesville. This time they would not give her Government discount because of a track meet!! Let’s see how many times the University of North Carolina State comes back!! We will probably find another property to stay at from now on!!!
