Good stay but need more cleanliness.
We usually stay in Memphis but never had any luck with the hotels there so we decided to stay in Southaven where it seemed nicer and it was! Surrounded by stores, malls, outlets, it’s a great location!
When we arrived, no one was at the front desk for a good 5 minutes and then staff came out and was very pleasant. Checked in and had issues getting into our room but that was quickly resolved. At first glance, the room was great! We had the bunk beds and more than enough room for anyone! It was wonderful.
After finally settling in, we noticed there were still some trash in the room, the couch had suspicious stains, leftover party decor, and it didn’t feel clean at all. The tub’s handle was barely hanging on and the ring had fallen down. It didn’t feel nice but we got in late and were leaving early in the morning so we made do with our current situation. The ladder to the bunk beds are largely spaced so it’s definitely not for small children but bigger kids. Beds seem comfy as we slept but were unsure of how clean they were since the room was already in a disarray. It seemed like they just made the beds and replaced the towels and forgot to clean.
Overall, with breakfast, staff, location, and room; we were happy with our stay and would give them another chance. Maybe this was just a one off but we had a great time so we would come back and stay.
