Cozy, Romantic Cottage just 3 minutes from the village of Mendocino!

The Larkin Cottage is nestled amongst redwood trees just 3 minutes from the village of Mendocino. It is on the same property as the live-in owner's main residence. The cottage includes all the amenities of home. The kitchen is furnished with ample dishes and pots and pans should you decide not to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants in the area. A gas BBQ is located on the deck. The living room is equipped with a flat screen TV, DISH high definition service, WiFi, blue tooth dock for music on your phone or tablet, DVD player, and a DVD library of movies filmed in the area. The bedroom features a queen size Sleep Number bed outfitted in luxurious linens including a down comforter and plenty of fluffy pillows. Waiting for you outside are porch rockers, a private hot tub, and lush gardens.

The Larkin Cottage property is abundant with beautiful flowers. Care has been taken to make sure that something is blooming every month of the year. The gazebo is a perfect spot for a small wedding.

PLEASE NOTE: Cal Trans has removed the trees on the west side of the property due to bridge construction. This construction can create noise during the day. The estimated completion date is Fall of 2025.

We reserved the cozy Larkin Cottage for our honeymoon and were greeted with a gift basket that made us feel welcome. This sweet home had everything we needed, and wanted, to make our time there comfortable and relaxed--including plenty of room to organize our stuff so that we weren't just living out of our luggage. We chose to cook some meals in the very complete and thoughtfully appointed kitchen, as well as explore the local restaurants that host Linda recommended. Linda's thoughtful communication with us in advance made us feel that when we arrived at the Larkin Cottage, we truly were at home. We will be back!

This is a cute, little cottage, well-equipped, and comfortable. It is maybe 3 minutes by driving from the Village of Mendocino. The kitchen is very small, with little counter space, but adequate for making simple meals. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the surrounding garden. The host is very responsive and helpful. The hot tub was a treat and we would have loved to used it more if the weather had been cooler.

We were extremely happy with our stay at the Larkin Cottage. For starters, the location is perfect - just a quick 5 minute drive to the center of Mendocino. The cottage is so charming and inviting. You can tell that Linda puts care into it's upkeep and maintenance. And, how great to have a private deck, hot tub and yard right outside the back door. Linda went the extra mile and left us a lovely gift basket to help us celebrate our birthdays. This is now our "go to" place when we visit Mendocino for a weekend getaway.

Cozy Weekend Getaway
We absolutely loved everything about the Larkin Cottage! It is just the right size for 2 people, and has all the comforts of home. Linda’s communication was thorough and timely. The location between Mendocino and Fort Bragg was ideal for our needs. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and cozy fireplace.
