Right on the doorstep on Meru, the rooms are comfortable, meals delicious, staff accommodating, and nature relaxing. We left early one day on a game drive and weā€™re provided a cooler with breakfast to take with us. Loved staying here and would definitely return. There are a lot of cats, but they are not bothersome.

Great camp in Meru
This is a great camp right outside the gates of Meru National Park. The tents are beautiful and comfortable with great patios. Food can take awhile, but quality is good. Hope to come back again in the future.

Perfect getaway 1km from Meru National Park
Our experience at iKweta exceeded our expectations. Susanne, Allan and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and approachable. The made my birthday special by preparing a cake and offering a complimentary sparkling wine. They also ensured we had various vegetarian options for our meals, which were fresh and well made. The room was very clean and comfortable and the pool was great to relax in the hot weather. One suggestion would be for the management to arrange for a fan in the room during the hot season. This would have made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable.

Property was good value for money. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful rooms and bathrooms with attention to detail. The owner Susan is a delightful woman. The quality of the food served was fine but not excellent: we cannot second the reviews weā€™d read before our visit about the excellent kitchen. The seating area outside could do with some more comfortable chairs, to make a day just lazing away at the camp a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Beautiful resort with friendly, helpful staff.
We were not prepared for how gorgeous the resort and tents would be. Staying here was one of the highlights of our time in Kenya. The tents were beautiful, with comfy beds and a full bathroom. This was the prefect place to call home after game drives in Meru all day, especially since the camp is located so close to the park. They also offer park maps of Meru for game drives, and advice on where to drive for the best views in the park since we were doing a self-drive. Everyone on staff was wonderful to us, including the chef and ownership, who all greeted us warmly and helped make our stay there really great. We look forward to coming back.

Tasteful & relaxing safari camp close to Meru Park
Each tent is tastefully furnished and secluded. The grounds are an oasis of calm - acacia bushes, mango trees, restored natural vegetation. The staff are very friendly and very willing - laying on a birthday cake and musical performance for my wife's birthday. They helpfully arranged our transfer back to Nairobi. The food (full board included) was always fresh and well cooked - not fancy gourmet food (which one could not expect for the price) but always tasty. iKweta was extremely good value.

Great safari camp IVO Meru Park
Great stay at Ikweta Safari Camp. Budget camp but still with great comfort of beautiful safari tent and great inside decoration, with nice private veranda. Cosy meal area with inside and outside possibilities, and nice lounge area to read and relax. Pool area is great, really enjoyed it. Best place to Stay IVO Meru Park, would definitely recommend, only 5min to the gate. Patricia was a great host, most helpful.
