The hotel and room were terrific. The check-in and check-out process was the worst I have ever had. The restaurant was closed for no specific reason so we had to leave for dinner. We ordered food delivery and it was just left downstairs and when we tried to call the main desk, there was no answer. 5⭐️ hotel with 1⭐️ service.

Sorry Gale - you have missed your chance!
The early check in should be paid extra and this although I had the written confirmation that it will be free if it is available. In words —> „I will leave a note on your reservation to ensure that whichever option is available at the time will also be complimentary“ Only after I pointed this out were we allowed into the room earlier free of charge. BTW a late check out was not even questioned or offered. This should also be free as an Expedia Hotel.com Gold Member. At four days of total 6 our room wasn’t cleaned until we complained it in the late afternoon! Complaining of missing and not given toilet paper was ignored and we have to complain it after the room was „cleaned“! It seems that the Private Beach Club is free for hotel guests (like the hotel pool) but you only get two chairs per room for free. It doesn't seem to matter if you are traveling as a party of three and pay for the room for three. So we had to pay for an additional chair and umbrellas ourselves! Finally we got additionally compensation of destination fee while check-out. In total ca. 120 USD for three times destination fee compensation. Great and new location but at least we wouldn’t visit Gale once again due the poor service and the slow complain handling. And the given compensation doesn’t expect the effort for had during our vacations!

Staff let it down, expensive, but not worth it
Requested an early check in months before we arrived. After a long day of travelling, we arrived at the hotel at 8am and asked when was the earliest they could give us the room. The lady at the front desk said the room was empty, but not cleaned yet. She would ask the cleaner to go in as soon as possible. They also mentioned we wpukd ahev to pay for early check in which was not a problem because we and the kids were just desperate for a shower and a nap. We decided to have breakfast and go to the beach. 4 hours later, at 12 we arrived back at the hotel even more tired and sweaty. Another lady told us the room is still not ready and that the other lady shoukd not have told us the room will be available. In the end we had to wait until 4pm to check in. We went for lunch feeling disgusting and then on to our evergaldes tour. Arived back at the hotel at 5pm to find a huge queue of people waiting to check in. In the end from the morning, we managed to get into our room at 6pm. Completely unacceptable especially when we knew the room was empty from the morning. Staff could not be bothered, no smile, just seemed like they didnt want to be there. Its a shame because the hotel is actually really nice but the staff let it down massively. Definitely would not stay there again given the prices of the rooms and the bery late check in times, totally not worth it.

This is a great choice! Staff at the front desk could be friendlier. Nice rooms. The area was overall great but there’s a very sketchy area to avoid very close by. It seems to be located in an up and coming area which isn’t fully developed yet. Because of this, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Check in time is 4pm, they want to charge you extra to have early access, didn't see the cleaning staff, the reception answered the phone once out of 6 attempts and the reception is understaffed meaning long queues. Would not recommend the hotel, it has potential to be nice but badly managed and the surrounding area is have abandoned / derelict and lots of building work going on.

The check-in was extremely slow. We waited for 30 minutes. Then my reservation could not be located and it was a stressful period thinking my reservation would not be honored. It was final found without a good explanation of why it could not initially be seen.

Hard time checking in
Arrived at 5:30 pm with my wife, 5 year old, 3 year old, and mom to check in. Was told they were fully booked and did not have the room we reserved. After 45 min they got us a room. They ended up comping breakfast. It was frustrating, but not awful.

employee training could be improved, we didn’t get the complimentary bottle of wine as described in the order, and got a standard room without balcony when first checked-in, had to check in again.

The staff is incompetent in running this hotel. Everyone arriving to check in at 4pm had to wait until much later to get their room. I myself didn't get a room until 4:45pm, and the first room they gave me was already occupied. Also, you don't have a choice with parking. You have to pay for Valet
