The hotel is abysmal. The AC Hardly works. 65° was not enough to drop the humidity Breakfast. Nope Cup of water? Nope Polite? Nope - definition of the “hood”. Safe? Nope. See above. Nothing, not the bed, pillows, carpets, chairs or walls appeared to be clean. Merely tolerable because we had absolutely no other choice. So uncomfortable. Zero life left in this hotel. The shower. Lol. I’m pretty sure the bed bugs ate more off me than the trickle of water rinsed off me. Shuttle was on time to JFK. If I have to pick SOMETHING redeeming…. it’s the shuttle because it gets you the hell out of that DUMP. DISGUSTING. DO NOT STAY! THERE IS NO BRILLO PAD IN THE WORLD STRONG ENOUGH TO HELO YOU HERE!

Our first room had a terrible musty smell that was coming from the air conditioner. We were given another room that was marginally less smelly but was DIRECTLY in front of the large dumpster outside which of course was emptied at 7:30 AM. I would definitely not recommend this facility.

Excellent Staff
The shuttle service is really helpful from and to JFK. Even if you want to go to Manhattan, they’ll drop you off and pick you up at the terminals so you can take the subway into the city.

Liked the free airport shuttle and free though somewhat spartan breakfast. Coffee was good though. Service and attitude of staff was generally good. Did not like: Mattress: Slanted at the edges - probably needs to be replaced. Lobby area where you check in super cold and when this was mentioned to the staff they did not seem to care. Also, bathtub stopper did not work so it was hard to give our kids a bath. Immediate locale of the hotel was not particularly nice but I guess but there are not a lot of options if you want to be near Cedarhurst and the Five Towns in general.

Property is relatively near to JFK airport and provided free parking. There was ample space for parking. Made a mistake in my original dates for the booking but the property was kind enough to change it for us at no cost. Appreciate the gesture. Not the friendliest of staff at the front desk but managed to check-in smoothly without hassle nevertheless. Room is a bit dated but it was a night's stayover before our morning flight so it worked out for us.
