A wonderful retreat in this unique bayside village!

Welcome to paradise! Primehaven, in Primehook Beach, DE is back to nature with all the comforts of home. Out the back door you have an open deck with beautiful views of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, great for bird watching and relaxing as the evening sun sets in the west. Out front you enjoy a beautiful sunrise and are just steps away from two entrances to a dog-friendly, not crowded beach on the Delaware Bay. Yes, our house is pet friendly with a pet fee!

Primehaven is the perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy time with family and friends. The house is a recently built (2012), open and airy, sanctuary that sleeps 6-7 people. The 1st floor of the house has an open living area which includes a large living room with cathedral ceiling, the deck, and a large kitchen, all with views of the wildlife refuge. This level also includes a queen bedroom suite with a full bath, a laundry room and powder room.

The second bedroom is actually a large second floor loft overlooking the first floor as well as the wildlife refuge. It has an open architecture as well, has a queen and two single beds and a trundle bed, and an office area (but who wants to work?), and of course, a full bath. Windows on the east side provide an overview of the bay and the community and to the west look over the beautiful refuge.

Family meals? The house has a well equipped kitchen and a dining area. We do not have a dish washer but do provide paper places if you don't want to wash the dishes! Beach toys? The house has many beach chairs to choose from, kites, boogie boards and large floats/boogie boards.

We hope you enjoy the time to unwind and escape the beach crowds to spend quiet time with family and friends. Please keep in mind that this is a private beach and is not a groomed beach.

Notes-
1. The TV in the living room is a smart TV. Should you desire, you may use your Netflix, Hulu (etc) account on that TV. Please make sure you sign out of your account before you leave! Please do not order movies on the Xfinity account.

2. We do not provide linens. Please bring up to 3 sets of queen sheets, 3 twin set for beds (a queen-ish set if you plan to use the pull out couch) and towels for the bath and beach. If you prefer to rent them please visit 227rent.com and they can drop off and pick up anything you will need.

Lovely Property - Great View
This was our second stay at Primehaven. We enjoyed it just as much as last year. The house is beautifully maintained and well provisioned. The ability to sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the marsh is a big part of what keeps us coming back.

The cottage was beautiful and well kept. Stunning views of the natural preserve that afforded for breathtaking sunsets. From the second story loft area, you could see the bay and the ocean . Due to the time of year(sun placement) I watched a semi obstructed view of the sunrise each morning. Truly, stunning. The house had all the necessary and mostly brand name household items one would need, soaps, foils, storage bags, trashbags, wipes, etc. Along with all the traditional items like a roasting pan, baking sheets, etc. I'm not doing it justice, they had everything I could think of that I would need, except maybe a kettle. It really felt like i was staying at a friend's house. The beds were comfortable and had a bed topper on them for added comfort. They squeaked a bit but not enough to wake you up. The couch was comfortable to nap on, although we didn't pull the mattress out. The additional seating in the living room was odd - looked like waiting room chairs. But my group didn't need them, we happily sat on the couch and lounge chair. The three walk-in showers (including outside) had great water pressure! The bedroom and bathroom doors are pocket doors - a brilliant use of space. The weather was cool during our visit. So opening up the back deck and the windows creates a wonderful relaxing cross breeze. A great visit at a great house! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Quiet, calming and all about nature;)
We love PH- and the simplicity of the place- in fact we are building there over the next 18-24 months- but wanted to enjoy the place - and this house is perfect for us and our two pups- stocked with everything, great views- for a smaller home- the space is used very well-easy walking and biking - only 6 miles to a wonderful town with everything you need- We love it- definitely will stay again in this lovely beach cottage!

Amazing Wildlife Refuge View
We really enjoyed our stay at PrimeHaven. Everything at the house was clean and fresh even though we were there at the end of the season. It’s one of the best appointed houses we’ve ever stayed in. They really have thought of everything. The pictures posted provide an accurate depiction of the house, but I was bowled over by the expansive view from the deck. It’s the perfect place for morning coffee/tea, birdwatching, and enjoying the spectacular sunsets.

Primehaven was Prime Heaven!
If you are looking to for peace and quiet, Primehaven is your ticket! Situated in a nature preserve, you just need to take your binoculars out on the back deck to birdwatch and enjoy nature. The sunsets are beautiful and the bay beach is just across the street to watch the sunrises. The house was VERY clean and stocked with everything needed for a relaxing stay, but it is just a short drive to Milton, Lewes and all the more typical beachy places for ice cream, breakfast or a good meal. We will be back!

Beautiful home just as promised. Awesome hosts who answered questions very quickly! The home was clean, with thoughtful provisions and well stocked kitchen. Nothing but good things to say about this beautiful, well-kept family home. Quality furnishings, including the outdoor furniture, and the cleanest outdoor shower I’ve ever used, made our visit very pleasant. The owner kindly provided paper goods and soap products to make it even easier. We had a great week of amazing views and floating in the bay; can’t wait to come back!

Excellent overall experience. Home was beautiful. Extremely clean and well maintained. Easy walking distance and access to the beach which was essentially a private beach. Nice assortment of beach supplies available. Kitchen supplies were well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Only had one minor issue with a door lock sticking to which owner addressed immediately. Our family intends to return.

We had a wonderful stay at PrimeHaven. It is nicely situated with views of the refuge and close access to the beach and main road. The place is new and modern, with a great kitchen, lots of windows, very clean and modern. We only had two nits. The first is that there are no sheets. While this is stated in the description, it is at the end and there was no reminder in the check-in instructions. Because no sheets is pretty rare these days, and so important, we believe that it should be more prominently listed in the ad. And, specifically stated in the check-in instructions. The second is no dishwasher. This is also stated in the description. Not a huge deal, but seems a little strange with such a new kitchen. And, who wants to do dishes on a vacation! These points would not prevent us from staying here again. We had a great trip, and the place was wonderful. We look forward to coming again.

Prime hook gem!
We had a great time at this gorgeous prime hook home in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Beach was super close and we had stunning sunsets! The house had everything we needed to cook meals and we enjoyed several glasses of wine on the porch overlooking the nature preserve. We hope to stay here again next year!
