The space
This is a very comfortable 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin on stilts that enables views of the lake when some of the leaves are down. The living area, dining table, and kitchen are in one room with cathedral ceilings. There a big umbrella on the deck as well as 4 comfortable patio chairs and a table. The cabin has central A/C and heat, plus there are ceiling fans in the great room and bedrooms and an oscillating heater and window A/C in the garage. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for cooking favorite recipes. We are located extremely close to the Commons Area for access to the lake. It is a peninsula that juts out into the lake so the views are great, and we're directly across the lake from Lake Anna State Park, which has the best swim beach on the entire lake as well as a boat ramp to launch your motor boat or jet ski. It's only a 7 minute drive from our cabin to the state park. A washer and dryer (in garage) are also available to use. The Vintage Games: Foosball and Bumper Pool tables, Bucket Corn Hole, Legos, Hacky Sack, Hula Hoop, Badminton, etc. are in the garage. Sitting and/or eating on the deck is very comfortable. You may see fox or an owl and we have binoculars on the bookcase to birdwatch.
Guest access
You're able to use the entire cabin and the half of the garage that contains the foosball table, bumper pool table, bucket corn hole, and clothes dryer. There's a driveway that circles around the cabin making driving and parking convenient. A very short walk (5 minute) takes you to the Commons Area for swimming and jumping off the end of the dock or having a picnic on one of the tables under the trees. Again, going to Lake Anna State Park and paying the nominal fee is well worth it, particularly if you bring a motor boat or jet ski. They have great boat ramps, restrooms, the best swimming area and beach on the lake, and plenty of parking.
Other things to note
If you want to launch your kayak, canoe, or SUP, you can park near the gate at the Commons Area as long as you're not blocking anything, but it's probably better to drop off your watercraft and then go park in our driveway.
