The staff greeted us warmly, gave us cookies, and we were in our room very quickly. The room was spacious and very appealing, with all the amenities we needed. We loved the easy, cheaper parking nearby (We didn’t use the hotel parking because there were so many cheaper options showing on our parking app). Between the friendly and helpful staff and the perfect downtown location, our stay was wonderful. We hope to stay longer next time !

As soon as we arrived we were told we could not check-in because “every Hilton in the world was going through a tech update” and it had been down since 11 pm the prior evening. The lobby was a disaster with plastic hung and ceiling exposed. Our event was at Hilton Minneapolis, I asked them if things were up and running, and they had no clue what I was talking about stating their systems were fine and I was able to book there. When returning to Double Tree to cancel and grab luggage. The receptionist told me she didn’t blame me for leaving as there was no A/C. I still don’t know exactly what happened, but DoubleTree was clearly in shambles well before our arrival with no notification. Extremely stressful to find yourself with no place to stay when we were there for my daughter to compete in USA gymnastic nationals/Olympic trials. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Our check in time was at 4, we waited in line forever and when it was our turn to check in, they said they didn't have any rooms available for what I booked. To find out the rooms weren't even cleaned yet. There was no AC is the whole building so it was very warm and sticky. Just a very run down hotel.

Don’t do it. hot, noisy, people denied rooms
This was the worst hotel experience i’ve ever had, for starters there was NO AC IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING. We were told to open the windows, but they literally opened like maybe an inch. It was horrible. Secondly, the elevators were broken inside so the alarms were constantly going off. Loudly. To the point we could hear it in our room, making it even more impossible to sleep. They then had all of their systems fail, and they couldn’t even check people into their rooms so the lobby was full of people who PAID FOR THEIR ALREADY TERRIBLE ROOMS, and couldn’t access them. So they just had to sleep in the lobby on the floor. We couldn’t even check out in the morning because they’re still down, and there was NO compensation for any of this. I wouldn’t stay here again, even if you paid me.
