Your 4,700 sq.ft. executive home on nearly 1.5 acres awaits. Enjoy the pool (open June through the end of August; possibly longer dependent on weather), 7 person hot tub, electric dry sauna, screened in porch, firepit with unlimited firewood included, deck, patio, Weber propane grill, walking trail, canoe, kayaks, and paddleboards (with life jackets), movie room and more! There is a 16 person maximum and tons of space for all your guests to enjoy. This home was designed for you and your group to create memories to remember for years to come!
Enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located home. Just 9 minutes to MSP Airport and 10 minutes to the Mall of America, this accomodation makes a great home base to visit all of the hot spots in the Twin Cities area. Downtown Minneapolis and St Paul are a 15-20 minute drive.
Important Note: Before booking this beautiful lake home retreat, please ensure you have read our simple and straightforward “House Rules” on this page and throughout the listing, most important being the 10pm quiet hours.
The Space:
I have everything you need here: clean linens, towels, washcloths, and some basic kitchen items like olive oil, salt, pepper, flour and sugar. I supply a Ninja drip coffee maker (with filter), a French press, a Keurig coffee maker (with reusable pods) and Folgers coffee is supplied.
There is direct access to the lake from the backyard. There are 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, a canoe, paddles, and life jackets available for your use. The lake and surrounding area is teeming with wildlife including tree frogs, turtles, fish, a variety of bird species (eagles, blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers). You may even see one of the resident bald eagles!

PARKING and ADDRESS
There is NO STREET PARKING allowed. The garage holds 2 cars and the driveway holds a maximum of 6 cars. Please make arrangements to carpool or use Ubers if the car total is going to be over 8. You will have access to the entire property. There is a keypad code for the garages that is provided upon booking. The whole house and surrounding wooded areas are yours to explore and enjoy.
After you reserve the property, you will be provided the location of the house.
I can offer early check-in or late check-out for $100/hour, but please schedule this in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Other Things to Note:
When making your reservation request, please be aware that the number of guests you list when booking is the maximum that will be allowed on the property. Please make sure to include guests who may just be stopping by even if they are not staying overnight as they need to be included for fee calculations (infants from 0-1 year of age are not included in that number). If more guests are present than disclosed, your reservation may be canceled without refund or notice. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be asked to provide the names of all who will be present during your stay. Your reservation includes however many guests you list upon booking. I allow up to 16 guests on the property at any time. There is a charge of $50/guest/day (after the first 4 guests) - this fee is already included in your quoted price assuming you select the accurate number of people when booking. If you need to add more guests, please reach out through the messaging platform and we can settle up there. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be asked to provide the names of all who will be at the house for a half hour or more.
Please note that there are cameras that are only focused on the entrances to the house and NOT inside the house in any way. Inviting more people to the house that are not listed may result in immediate cancellation of the booking without refund.
HOUSE RULES:
(1) QUIET HOURS: Quiet Hours begin at 10pm in accordance with the Mendota Heights Noise Ordinance. From 10pm to 7AM - no outdoor socializing. My neighbors are VERY IMPORTANT to me and I have a zero tolerance policy on this rule. All outdoor socializing, ESPECIALLY IN THE HOT TUB AND POOL, must conclude by 10pm. No exceptions to this rule. A noise-monitoring system is present at the house.
As neighbors are close by and expect to enjoy their home in peace and quiet, if your group becomes so loud or disruptive that the neighbors feel that they need to call me or the police about it during or after your stay, there will be a damage claim of up to $1,500 to be deducted from your security deposit. Additionally, your group may be asked to leave at whatever time this occurs and there would be no refund of what you have paid to complete your stay. As you expect peace and quiet at your home when you are there, please extend the same courtesy to my neighbors so that I can continue to offer this great home to others such as yourselves.
(2) NO SMOKING in the house (smoking on the deck is allowed). If I find evidence of this, a $1500 fee will be taken from your security deposit.
(3) GUEST LIST must be provided 2 weeks before your stay and must match your actual guests. Send first and last names in the message thread. A guest is anyone who will be on the property at any time during your stay, even if they are just stopping by. Each person is considered a guest for fee calculation purposes. Thanks for understanding. Please understand an open guest list party is NOT ALLOWED may result in immediate cancellation of your reservation and any guests over the amount listed when booking will be charged at $50/guest/night through your security deposit.
There is a limit of 16 guests on the property at any given time (a guest is any person on the property even if not staying overnight and just stopping by for a short time). For your reservation, the reservation fee includes 4 guests and each additional person, even if just stopping by and not staying overnight, is an additional charge which is calculated when you finalize your reservation. The additional charge is $50 per guest per day.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests and maintain harmonious relations with our neighbors, I kindly request a $1,500 security deposit. This deposit serves to uphold the 3 essential house rules, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone involved.
If I find any evidence that smoking took place in the house, the fee is $1,500. Additionally, if you have extra guests that were not included in your reservation, you will be charged for each guest accordingly. Lastly, if I learn of these or other situations during your stay, your reservation is subject to immediate cancellation with no refund.
The security deposit will be held from your account 5 days before your stay as a pending charge. Rest assured, it will be released within 48 hours following your check-out, provided that the house rules are observed.
While I prefer not to impose such measures, past experiences have highlighted the importance of these steps in maintaining the quality of our accommodations and fostering goodwill with our neighbors. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
There is a keypad on the main door for entry. You will be given the code the morning of check-in. You will have the entire place to yourself. If you need something, just message through the app and I'm usually only 15 minutes away and can help with anything you need.
