Friendly welcoming staff and a homely feel to the hotel. Whatever we asked for was brought and reservations made for restaurants in an obliging manner. Colombo 7 is a very convenient area to stay as it’s not far from most places you want to go.

I thoroughly enjoyed two relaxing nights at Tintagel before a two week tour in Sri Lanka. This historic hotel is incredibly beautiful, and the staff could not have done more to help me enjoy my stay in Colombo. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is also excellent.

"The hotel's setting on the edge of a lake that is a magnet for wildlife is fabulous, the views are amazing. The service was wonderful, with all the staff being charming and helpful. We were particularly impressed by the hotel driver who took us to Sigiriya and then onto our next stop in Kandy."

"Hotel in the jungle with a rustic charm. Room was good with a comfortable bed. Lots of ants in the room initially but I suppose being in the jungle that’s to be expected! Restaurant food was plentiful and delicious. We stayed three nights and we didn’t get bored as there was a good varied choice ..."
