The hotel seems old but it’s clean . The microwave has a certain smell . Staff are nice and friendly . I think the hotel spa is more updated.

I rented the room specifically so that my daughter could shower before her wedding day. When we got in her room, the bathroom was not handicap accessible. I called down to the lobby, and they told me he would have to go to the warehouse to check. This was at 11pm. They finally came a few minutes later, but the chair didn’t fit the bathtub, so I balanced it on the edge of the tub. Not the best or safest situation.

We had a problem with our dead bolt. It wouldn't fit into the bracket fixed to the door. They never came to fix it the whole stay., The breakfast hours were too early 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. This time is ideal for business but for vacation it is way too early.

My husband and I stayed two nights in June 2024. The only semi-negative comments I have about the property are that the lobby needs to be updated (tile floor had lots of cracks, decor / furniture a bit outdated), and the trashcan at the lobby entrance was full and the top exterior of it was dirty. I may be quirky about these kinds of things, but they are what I notice. Everything else was great: comfy bed and pillows, clean room, awesome breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely recommend Ayres, Mission Viejo, to anyone and would stay there again.
