It’s an old hotel conveniently located close to the airport. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. Free shuttle is convenient. That’s where the good list finishes. The food was not good - do not eat there. Lots of other wonderful options around. Nothing actually works: plugs in the room are falling out, ac is very noisy, fridge was not plugged and the ice machine on our floor didn’t work. We were lucky to arrive early, and it still took about 15 minutes to check in, even though we were “pre checked in” online. What was the point then to waste my time on filling up forms?! There was a line up of 10 people after our check in. It would’ve probably taken them an hour or more to get the room key Our “expedia VIP free drink was a joke - you can only get orange juice or fruit punch for it. Even a cup of coffee instead would’ve been better. Don’t bother. The breakfast was mediocre. Solid 3 stars… The staff didn’t know where was the sauna - it turned out it was “man & ladies” sections on different floors. Jet tub outside had no jets running & was luke warm. In overall, we got a good much needed rest after our flight got canceled, but I Will not stay at this hotel chain again.

The rooms were clean and while the rooms appeared to be dated to american standards, it was a bit nicer than i expected. The included breakfast and floor 9 snacks were great. I did have a funny experience in the elevator. The elevator malfunctioned shaking significantly while dropping and then came to a jolting stop. I panicked and called for help on the emergency phone. Support staff came and let me out within a few minutes. Someone called and checked on me and then they said they were sending up a gift (which i didnt ask for). This was at 10pm. Thirty minutes later a woman knocked on the door with a few pieces of fruit and an apology card which she read outloud the best she could in her limited english. A for effort i guess! Haha I also had to constantly come down to the front desk for issues realted to my card not working either for my room or to activate the lights. I saw at least one Overall dont expect american level customer service, but most people i dealt with were pleasant. I think for guatamala standards, this hotel is pretty nice.
