For exploring the island, it's the best to rent a bicycles, scooters or BRUM car so you can see other parts of Island, except just National Park.
Maybe you'll be interested to visit Limuni beach or Odisej cave near Babino polje.
Mljet is greenest island in Croatia and we do hope that you'll have chance to explore trekking and walking paths, and rich underworld in lakes and out of them.

Guests are renting apartment with private entrance.
Free parking is at our guests disposal.
There's no washing machine in the apartment but in agreement with host on site they can provide washing service for you. Charges may apply.

Mljet is the southernmost and easternmost of the larger Adriatic Islands of Dalmatia. It is the greenest Island with Mediterranean vegetation, a clear and clean sea, and a gentle sandy shoreline. National Park spreads on the western side of the Island (for over 54km2) and offers shady walking or cycling tracks, ancient ruins, and saltwater lakes. Entrances to NP Mljet is in Polače and Pomena.
The main places are Pomena, Polače, and Sobra and in those places, you may find supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants, travel agencies, souvenir shops, etc...
Island is regularly connected with Dubrovnik with a ferry from Dubrovnik or Korčula as well as a car ferry connection with Pelješac Peninsula on the Croatian mainland.
Being located just over 15 minutes walk to Malo Jezero (Small Lake) of Mljet National Park, the village Pomenais the main entry point to the Park. Nowadays it has its hotel, a couple of restaurants and coffee bars, grocery and souvenir shops, agencies etc… As a bay, is a very safe place for anchorage, being sheltered by a tiny island of Pomestak, which acts as a local naturist beach too.
Pomena is also a port where one will arrive if you take a day trip to Mljet by fast ferry from Korcula, Hvar, Split, Brac, or Dubrovnik
