Just what I needed for my travels!
I gave this hotel a five-star rating because it was everything that I needed it to be and expected it to be. The building is in an older neighborhood, but the rooms have been remodeled. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and shower facilities were clean and the towels were big and fluffy. I was also very pleased to see the exterior so well lit! I felt very comfortable parking my car outside my room, and it was very easy to get to. The room came with a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee pot. For the price, you're not going to find a better place to stay in that area!

Pros: felt safe, linens were clean, great area to see stars if not cloudy, close to calico, town has what you need. Cons: besides linens, the room was cleaned off on the counters and that's it. The window had a big sill that had bit been cleaned in forever, the floor was nasty as well as the remote. The thing is, just actually cleaning the rooms would fix it and then I'd stay again. Glad for no bugs in there. Also a hair in the sink that wasn't mine.

Good vibes
This was a very quiet & peaceful place to stay. The accommodations were wonderful & the staff was very friendly & attentive. I feel I got the best rest in a very long time. I will gladly book a reservation here every time I'm in Barstow.

Despite breakfast that was supposed to be included, there was literally no food. Dirty kitchen area, coffee coloured as an apple juice. Room is really old and well used, smells bad too.

Everything was great, except we had a room with an adjoining door and could hear the neighbors television in the evening and then at five in the morning. But the room and the hotel and the breakfast were all very nice!

All staff were friendly and accommodating. Don't expect it to be a high end hotel or you'll surely be disappointed. Easy access to the freeway and even though its near the freeway, we had no issues with road noise. I would definitely stay here again during my road trips. Plus, easy on the wallet.

Had an upstairs room but parking was outside building, this was at the back of the property. I did think the room smelled of old smoke but it was manageable. Room was very dark, couldn't open curtains as there was no barrier in-between, so its either curtains or everyone can see you. Room was a bit tired, could do with a remodel, but it was decent enough. Pool was open and at the time of year (beginning of October) I was the only one in it. It was clean and lovely after a hot long day. I used the laundry room which had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers - this was decent price at $1.50 for cleaning and $1 for drying (much better than other hotels I stayed in during my trip). There is a free breakfast but I arrived near the end so I only picked up a yoghurt and a hot tea

This turned out to be a great little hotel. It was convenient, right off the freeway. The lady who checked us in was wonderful. And the continental breakfast was quite good. I would stay here again if I find myself in Barstow!
