Monemvasia Hotels with Hot Tub in Room

The hotel was lovely. A good alternative to staying in monemvasia. Beautiful grounds and views. Fabulous rooms but no power plugs near mirrors. Great food and had a wonderful private dining experience for my husbands birthday wonderfully organised by George in experiences

My husband was here four years ago on a solo trip and was determined to make sure I returned to experience Monemvasia and this hotel in particular. It is the perfect location -close to the main entrance so you don’t have to carry luggage too far. Our hostess was so kind, with advice on where to eat and things to do. Such a delightful village. The bed was very comfortable – there is a small refrigerator. There’s a courtyard to sit in as well as a little back patio, depending on which room you get. The shower is small, so ladies washing your hair can be a little tricky, but I made it work. Get up with the sunrise] and hike up to the ruins early before the crowds/heat and catch the pretty light.

Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea. I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs.
