Went for my husband birthday. The room was ok except we had to keep the ac very cold or else the room gets very wet. The shower curtain was very short so with each shower the bathroom gets wet. The food buffet choices was very good, staff was very accommodating I always ask for condensed milk with my coffee. We had reservation for the Italian restaurant and this was such a disappointment! No salad was given only one choice I had a piece of salmon and my husband ordered meatball which he did not eat. They did bring a piece of cake for his birthday but they stated they don’t sing happy birthday. We left and went to the buffet for our dinner. The entertainment need very much improvement. Same band with different singer every night no chance for us to dance. No theme party! Band finished early and then there’s nothing to do. The disco was always empty. Need more daytime adult activities.

I would never return to this property; it's a rip-off. The front desk staff has no customer service skills, making you feel like you're begging them for help. Additionally, the room was dirty and had hair all over the place. Not to mention, the couch in the room was unclean as well. The staff seemed more focused on tips than on providing service.

I enjoyed staying here. The surroundings were very beautiful. The beach was amazing and the entertainment was enjoyable. I liked the food options. The jerk pizza was tasty as well as the Jamaican food options. I wish they had better liquor choices, later pool hours and NO CATS!! I’m not a cat person so that threw me off a bit. I didn’t like seeing the guest feed the cats while dining at the Buffett. I would stay here again but only a few days.

The property itself needs renovations. The room was outdated, and the bathroom had a leak of the shower head and backed up sink drain. The AC also had evidence of a leak. The food options are very few and there is no room service option as food isn’t allowed in the guest rooms. There is potential but the hotel really needs to be renovated.

We really enjoyed our stay here. After reading some reviews I started getting nervous before we left. The good: check in didn’t take nearly as long as everyone made it out to be, maybe 20 mins; the room was nice and clean, the AC worked great, the shower was large and had been upgraded recently; there was always ample chairs at the beach; staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating; THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, both of our taxi drivers even talked about how they heard the food there is some of the best Jamaican food at resorts in Montego Bay. The not so good: the water in the shower never got hot in our 7 nights; the beach is super shallow so general swimming and snorkeling is pretty awful; the rooms are LOUD, if a pin drops anywhere in your building you will hear it, so make sure you bring earplugs.

When I come to Jamaica, I expect a certain level of authenticity. As a tourist, I want to feel like Im in the country that I visited (native food, culture, etc). Catering to tourists by watering down the culture is not what I expect when in Jamaica. I was super disappointed that I couldn't get real fruits and fruit juice or authentic spices.

I liked everything about this property. Love the fact that even after dinner theres a grill opened by the bar until 2am. Catalonia is just a relaxing place with no hustle 😌 i also love the fact that the beaches is private only inside guest.

Even tho it’s been a couple years since we’ve been there, we were welcomed back. Some employees said it was nice to see us again.
