The look and feel of the property was nice and I liked that it catered to families. My kids had a great time at the pool. However, the food left much to be desired and it was very inconvenient to be placed on the second floor with no elevator access for the rooms, especially when you have to use a stroller. Also there was flooding in the bathroom which wasn’t addressed properly.

Loved the stay at this property. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They respect others. And as a Muslim we had halal lamb meat which is beyond our expectations. And the chefs even made halal lamb chops just for us as we could not have the other non halal meats. Their lamb and goat meats are halal. One thing needs to be improved is their wifi connectivity. But will definitely go back.

In 2019 the property was amazing. We decided to go back. This time 2024 was a downgrade. No pool towels available everytime we go to the pool. Alcoholic beverages were watered down and taste horrible. Went to book for dining the day before it seemed to always be book up. The soliciting was just too much. I am on Vacation. Stop it. Staff was pleasant and buffet was about the best thing.

There are pros and cons to everything, but the cons outweigh the pros for this resort. The shuttle service is unreliable, but necessary to move around confortably; if you are not staying in a building close to the main lobby/pool area you will have to do a good amount of walking If you are elderly or have health/mobility issues you should not stay here. The resort does not seem to have elevators or accessibility options I did not have an ice machine in my building (building 34) Food was mediocre at best Most staff were rude or behaved as though they were being bothered when asked for support. The drinks were decent and the pool area might be the highlight. If you have another option. Pick that one.

I stayed at this property with my family for 9 days, and our experience was mixed. On the positive side, we enjoyed the daily entertainment, which was well-planned and varied. The food was also quite good, offering a nice mix of local and international dishes. The efforts to keep guests engaged were appreciated. However, our stay was marred by several issues. The most troubling was the cleanliness of our room. From the first morning, we found dead cockroaches around the room each day. Despite reporting this to housekeeping, who promised a deep clean, the issue persisted. It was very concerning, especially since we were traveling with children. Additionally, used cups were never removed or replaced during the cleaning, making us question the overall hygiene. We also encountered problems with our room reservation. We booked a room with a king-size bed and a twin bed but were given a room with two double beds instead. When we raised this with the front desk, we were told there was nothing they could do, so we had to manage with the smaller beds for our entire stay. Another issue was the lack of pool chairs. Even arriving early, we found that chairs were scarce, with many reserved for a VIP section. This was frustrating for regular guests who struggled to find seating. While we appreciated the entertainment and food, the issues with cleanliness, room comfort, and service impacted our overall experience.

Despite being a beautiful hotel, several services needs improvement . Check in took too long despite arriving early and waited for the room at least 1 hour after the check in time of 3pm. No beach towels available for first day and entire morning after arrival until about 3 pm. Lovely restaurants but booking the a la carte not so easy and service at restaurant can be slow. If you go for a late dinner expect to get the scraps and wait even longer for food to be served. The staff members work really hard but the demand is high and sometimes they cannot manage . The drinks are really good with an amazing pool and fun night entertainment. I recommend to a point but in a country like Jamaica there are many options for the same price.

I’m giving this resort a 3-star rating, as it does not meet the standards of a 4-star accommodation. The staff were wonderful, which is the primary reason for the 3-star rating. Special thanks to Nola, our housekeeper in Building 29; Sade at the Xamaica restaurant; Celensia at the front desk; and the friendly manager of Portifino. Their kindness and service were much appreciated. However, the property itself is in need of significant upgrades. The pool shower fixtures were old, rusted, and barely functional. Many stairways were rickety and in poor condition. The rooms are outdated, with old furniture and fixtures in need of replacement. Although the water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, other aspects were lacking. The bathroom fixtures were outdated, tiles were cheap, and there were issues with water escaping from the shower door. Our first room was unclean, with visible black mold, which led us to request a room change. The second room, thanks to Nola’s cleaning efforts, was cleaner but still needs improvements. The patio doors and locks were outdated and insecure, and the patio furniture was old and dirty. Additionally, we didn’t receive the beachside view we paid for. The food was average and could be improved, though the virgin drinks were good. The pools were a hit with my kids, and while the beach had a lot of seaweed, it was manageable. In summary, while we enjoyed our time in Jamaica, I would not revisit this resort unless they make significant upgrades.

Great stay!
I stayed here with my family and we had a great time. They had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was big, the view was beautiful from the room. The bathroom had a hot tub and shower. The pools were amazing! There were activities for everyone. The pull out bed had a few crumbs in it, the Mobay restaurant service was a bit slow and the bathroom sink drained out slow. Other than that I would highly recommend and would stay there again.
