Stayed at this hotel in April and loved it, the staff and the food so much I decided to stay here again welp a lot has changed including the management and chef’s the food is bland and nasty and it has a VERY SMALL selection of Jamaican food! People come to Jamaica for JAMAICAN food, music and culture instead of having those other restaurants on the property how about u have a REAL JAMAICAN restaurant where people who want REAL AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN food can go! I spent every day going outside for Jamaican food which is HORRIBLE because I did all inclusive so that I would not have to do that!! If you want good Jamaican food so not stay on any of the RIU properties just get an Airbnb and a private chef for a TRUE JAMAICAN experience

Beautiful property, staff and entertainment were amazing and the food was flavorful. The room wasn’t quite ready when we got in, the ceiling was open, the TV didn’t work and the telephone was plugged out. The in room mini bar was also not stocked. We got those sorted relatively quickly through maintenance and F&B. The room was damp throughout the stay for some reason, the bed literally felt like you were sleeping on a wet towel and our clothes that we laid out was moist to the touch after a few hours, perhaps they were working on the air conditioner in the ceiling and wasn’t finished which is why the ceiling was open. Several all inclusives offer complementary shuttle to and from the airport (which was 8 minutes away) when we arrived they told us at the airport they don’t do same day bookings for shuttle so we had to take a taxi, no big deal. The published rate was USD20 which is fine. On the way out, we went to the bell desk at the front and told them we were trying to get a ride to the airport, the said no problem and went and got the vehicle. When we got in, the driver asked, you have cash? We said yes, after driving off, he said it was USD25, I asked how? How was it usd20 to the resort and usd25 back. His response was “that was the hotel price”. Not a pleasant way to end the experience for guests. Notwithstanding the above, we had A great experience, staff were pleasant and courteous, food drinks and fun was nonstop and we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful property. It’s one of 3 within walking distance. Staying at Palace offers access to the other 2 properties. Palace has great entertainment and several pools to choose from They have several restaurants and a Buffett with so many selections. Had a great time. We never left the 3 resorts so I have no comments on surrounding areas.

The staff at RIU Palace are amazing, the room we stayed in didn’t notice towards the end of the trip our A/C wasn’t working properly other than that, the room was great! Would stay here again!

I have never been so badly mistreated by manager and reception of a property. They gave us a noisy room where I could not sleep more than two hours a night. The manager Alba Mendez Brea and her assistant oshane were the most disgusting, rude, unprofessional staff I have ever met in my life. We had to wait for hours for her to even show up and when she finally showed up she said we’ll get back to you in 2-3 hours. She never got back to us and when we went back Oshane told us that they’ll give us a better less noisy room in another Riu location next to us. The manager at the other riu didn’t even talk to us. They showed us a room on the first floor while our current room was on the 3 rd floor, half the size of our room, smelly and no jacuzzi. Then they wanted to insult my intelligence by saying our hotel was more expensive than the other hotel and have me sign a paper saying we’re VOLUNTARILYgoing to a shitier much cheaper room and they won’t PAY us the difference. They made us go back and forth to the other hotel and made us stand on our feet on our vacation and my birthday stressing us out. Then Oshane left us to go to the back room while other staff went to the room high fived him and literally laughed at us. My family member and I were in tears, they ruined my birthday and I got no money back, got disrespected and forced to stay up the entire night for our entire stay. The elevators, mirrors and ice machine were so dirty. They didn’t change our sheet & towels.
