After reading some reviews I was a little bit worried about our stay, but it ended up being a wonderful place. This resort is locally owned and provides a little bit of that local feel to it. I had read that the staff was not polite, but that could be further from the truth. Everyone seemed to be so pleasant and helpful. There were only two people that were a little questionable with their attitudes but everyone else was super nice and attentive. I am terrible at names or I would list them all, but I do know that Richie the bellhop was a pleasure to talk to and provide some details about his country. Bartenders were nice, wait staff was nice, they even had our drinks waiting when we turned around to talk. I think that we were very well taken care of. Every morning they were cleaning the property. I often times saw 5 to 8 people at least sweeping and cleaning. The property is a little outdated, but if you don’t mind that, it is a great place. The food did not change much daily, but it was very good. The omelettes in the morning were amazing. The food at the beach bar was OK, not great but it was definitely good enough to keep you satisfied. They also provide a little deli that has some great treats as well. I recommend getting a cup with about half of it ice cream and then go into the bar and having them fill it up with some coconut rum. I have read that the AC did not work, but ours was so cold. We had to keep turning it up. We always had hot water and clean room.
