"Casa da Malta" is a local designation, to a building apart from the main one, where temporary workers were lodged (the ones named “malteses”).
Therefore, we named "casa da malta" this house, rebuilt in 2003 from old ruins, close to the owners house but completely independent.
Private home, tipicaly of the Alentejo region – ground floor, long rectangle, door and windows exposed to east. Inserted in a 23,500 sqm property, located in a rural environment, at the arrival at Escoural village (department of Montemor-o-Novo), on the southern slope of the Monfurado Hills. Obs: A cradle is available, and a sofa bed allows, in exceptional cases, lodging two extra people.
