Submerge yourself in the awe of the sea within our cherished coastal retreat, elegantly designed to coexist with its natural surroundings. As Frank Lloyd Wright aptly put it, "No house should ever be on the sea or on anything. It should be of the sea. Belonging to it. Sea and house should live together, each enhancing the other."

Our coastal refuge, affectionately frequented by our family and friends, opened its doors to Vrbo and Homeway guests in 2015. We've ensured our personal belongings and carefully selected furnishings create a homely ambiance, making you feel like a homeowner rather than a transient occupant. We hope you will value your time here as much as we do.

Perched on a rock at the heart of Monterosso's bay, our detached house is a mere five meters from the sea. A comprehensive renovation in 2012 ensured modern comforts such as air conditioning, heating, and a stable Wi-Fi connection. In 2023, we further augmented the comfort of our home by installing new windows and doors, offering improved thermal and acoustic insulation.

Our home features a spacious living room and a cozy double room, both opening onto a sea-facing terrace. This outdoor space is furnished with a dining table, chairs, an outdoor shower, and a private staircase leading directly to the sea. Please be advised that due to its elevation, the terrace may not be suitable for children due to the risk of falling.

Additional amenities include a second bedroom with a sizable bunk bed, two bathrooms (one equipped with a shower), and a fully-appointed kitchen for culinary enthusiasts. Each room provides ample closet space, a desk, and two chairs.

Access to the house is via a ramp staircase that leads to a functional courtyard with laundry facilities. Our coastal sanctuary encapsulates a unique blend of minimal material comforts and maximum spiritual stimulation, echoing a sailor's affinity for the sea. The advantages of our location are evident: location, location, location!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The house is only accessible via stairs and may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues or wheelchair users.
- Our home is approximately 550 meters away from the railway station. A public cab service is available.
- The house does not provide private parking. The nearest public pay parking is approximately 800 meters away, and a public cab service is available.
- For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate children under 12 years.
- Additional guests beyond the first two will incur an extra daily fee. Please refer to your "Booking Summary" for more details.

Wish our stay was longer
The building is lovely with a fantastic outdoor balcony overlooking the ocean and beach. The location is perfect. Very easy access from the train station a short walk to stores, restaurants, and other. I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness because the clothes washing machine was filthy and the tea pot was unusable.

Close to Old Town - Amazing
Our 2 month journey began here. We stayed 8 days and we hiked between each town. Monterosso makes you feel that you are in a spacious town. We did most of our dinners in the apartment. Kitchen is well equipped. The views from the apartment are stunning. This place is a real gem and if available you should book without hesitation. Cristina was amazing help with all of our needs. Great holiday!

Lovely home in perfect location
The 'boat' reference might be confused with 'compact' or 'narrow and small' but really it relates to the feeling that you are on the water when you stay here. Do not hesitate; book this house because it is in the BEST location and the elevated position with the water immediately below is wonderful. The house is really lovely and it provides a generous space to relax, unwind and enjoy the magnificent view. In the warmer months, swimming and sunbathing is just a few steps away. Short walk to everywhere. Quite remarkable really!

Amazing views and location
We had an excellent time at this unique property. The views and location were amazing. It was a short walk to the old town part of Monterosso for groceries, restaurants, or shopping. Also, I would highly recommend the hike to Vernazza, but don’t forget to bring the hiking poles that the property provided.

Stone villa on a cliff
We loved our stay in this splendid cliffside villa on the Mediterranean in cinque Terre. Everything one needed and more! Cool ocean breezes with the sound of waves to lull you to sleep. Just doesn't get any better. Located in the old town of Monterosso with less tourists and better restaurants.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this unique and inviting flat above the water. It was a welcoming home, perfect after a long hike or a day at the beach. It's a little tricky for those with mobility issues because of stairs, but otherwise I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Our Maiden Voyage
Salita ai Cappuccini, we love you. What glorious 4 days. Our maiden voyage in the house like boat, we truly could not believe we were staying here. The house and details of this house are beautiful, so close to Old Town, the beach, the ferry, hiking, train. We loved that we could get "Take Away" dinner and eat on our deck or have cocktails as we watch the activity below. This visit was what we needed after traveling around Europe. This was our maiden voyage, but hopefully will not be our last. Thank you, Enrico and Elena, for creating a beautiful home that you allow us to rent.:)

A little piece of paradise

Incredible location
Enrico and Elena’s place is the best in Monterosso. It was great waking up and walking out on the balcony to watch the sunrise! So many great restaurant options in old town Monterosso, all a quick walk away. It is also very close to the ferry dock, if you want to take that between the other villages. Highly recommend this VRBO and would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place…
We were at the end of a two-week vacation with our boys (17 and 15) and this place was the most amazing place to cap off an already spectacular trip! We had a bit of trouble finding the place but were beyond excited when we finally arrived. It was August so the weather was HOT - we really appreciated having air with the ability to adjust temperature in every room. We were lucky enough to have front row seats (from the balcony) on our very first night to a string quartet playing on the plaza below! We will definitely be back!

Best Place to Stay
My husband, two adult daughters and I stayed here for 3 days in June and we could not have been happier. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, the location was perfect, and the view was breathtaking. I could have been happy sitting the patio and soaking in the view for our entire vacation. I don't think there could be a better place to stay in the entire area. And Enrico and Elena and their property manager (Christina) were so easy to communicate with, so kind and so helpful. I wasn't feeling, and Christina arranged to have a doctor come to the apartment, and then we had a hiccup in our travel plans, and Christina found a reasonably priced driver to take us to Pisa. They were amazing.

Absolutely Perfect!
This property capped off a perfect trip to Italy! The location couldn't have been better and the apartment itself was impeccable. Everything was clean, working, and we thoroughly took advantage of the terrace by sitting out as much as possible during our short stay. Cristina, the property manager, was great with communications, very helpful, and made sure we had all of the information we needed - and more! (Thank you for the restaurant suggestions!) I hope that we get to visit Monterosso again and if we do, we will only stay at this property. Thank you.
