Injured while showering!
Sadly our stay was not good. While showering literally the steel grate by the shower head fell on me. It hit my shin then my toes. I had marks and bruises and my toes were swollen. I immediately reported this to the front desk and was told "this has never happened before" and when I asked if they had any medical supplies or help they said no. They scheduled the maintenance man to come at 0930 the next day and he showed at 11. At no point during the remaining days of our stay did they offer to comp anything or even check on me to see if I was okay. It was beyond unacceptable and they are lucky I was not hurt worse. Also we woke daily to new bug bites each morning. There were bugs clearly in the room and biting us in our sleep. I would not recommend this place which is unfortunate because the location is great. Lastly, the photos are not accurate to what the hotel and pool actually look like. I'm extremely disappointed in how our vacation turned out and how little care was given when they saw my injuries and even had a picture of the injuries.

We stayed in a room located in a strange modern yet outdated annex to the original building. Room was dark and unwelcoming; shower head wouldn't stay in position and soaked the floor under water pressure. Doors slammed in other rooms during early hours. Breakfasting area was overcrowded; no trays to carry buffet food to the table - saw a poor disabled man knocked off his feet by a woman flailing around at the coffee machine. Pool was full of leaves. They tried to charge us for a meal in the restaurant we didn’t have, claiming we’d signed for it!

Lovely hotel, well located, great breakfast, curteous staff. My room was relatively inexpensive and quiet, however the window faced a wall. The decor was dark and the carpet was stained. I could not find any electrical outlet near the bed to charge my phone — I had to unplug the coffee machine.

The room was quiet and good but there was not enough staff at the front desk on arrival and especially the breakfast room. One person had to handle food, service, seating and clean up and it was chaos. Food was out and no tables, coffee machine broken. Expected better.

Nice Building - Horrible Stay
The room was hot. The AC did not work. We opened the sliding door to the terrace. Conversations in the courttard late at night and early in the morning were loud. We could smell cigarette smoke. We think our room (106) was over the staff break area. We were inundated by mosquitos through the open sliding door. Between the two of us we must have been bitten more than 40 times. Arms, shoulders, legs all with bites. We informed the staff and requested check-out. We were told that our booking of two nights must be altered via Hotels.com. We contact Hotels.com via website chat. The person helping us told us to go ahead and check-out and depart. That Hotels.com would confirm the change in our booking with the hotel from two nights to one night. We are still waiting on confirmation of the change. Breakfast service was not well organized, they ran out of serving plates, the fresh orange juice dispenser did not work properly. The only aspect of our stay that was pleasant was staff interactions. Everyone was helpful and polite.
