Our house is located on the outskirts above Lodève on a small lane with temporary traffic trip to the monastery Grandmont. The house is a renovated, modernized old "mas", which has been used as a holiday home for over 100 years. It bears the beautiful name "Les Châtaigniers" (chestnut trees). The property is designed to a small Mediterranean, terraced park and opens into a sprawling olive grove with additional fruit trees and vines. The site has more than 40 southern European species of trees like old laurel, strawberry and beech trees, mulberry, cedar and cypress. Depending on the season, fruit may be harvested by stealing food (figs, persimmons, pomegranates, etc.). At the highest point of the property is a garden house allows a magnificent view of the city, the cathedral and the surrounding mountains.
